Song Title Contest! (Generous prizes)

In this contest, you must pick a song title I have listed below. Then, you are to write a poem based on that song's title. It cannot have more than two or three lines taken from the actual song. It also oesn't have to be based on the song itself, rather the song's title (so it doesn't matter if you've never heard it before.)

At least 10 lines, but don't write a novel, doesn't have to rhyme, may if you like, contest ends once every title is reseved and done.

VALENTINE

If I had to pick, I’d pick those russet eyes,
then pine to leave the rest of her behind.
So perfect a pair, the glaring full moon vies-
it rules the tides, but they control my mind.
Still, loveliness lies abound in this vast world;
if I’d really try, finer eyes lids may unfurl…

The dark rivers of her bronze face cascade,
and with suaveness brush her tender lips.
No gold touch can make my grey blush fade
as her locks running through my fingertips.
Silkier waves so far seem to travel in disguise;
but someday, they may just meet my eyes…

The melodies that sift from her vocal strings,
shame those keen nightingales practicing.
Evoking teary smiles; that’s how she sings-
as her songs in my head resonate and ring
With sorrow for breath and spirit for words-
she sings; but perhaps there’s a sweeter bird…

so I think- who could be fairer than my Fair?
That façade; those eyes- who could defeat?
Oh, maybe her splendor she doesn’t just wear,
but within her heart, Love grows and leaps
The fairer is the heart, my Fair is the skin,
and I think I’m in love with the fairer within.

Be my valentine.
Be my valentine, just tonight.

Holding my body with looking so careless
But if I fall down cos of my body numbness

Gathered by eyes and lips
Feeling your hands on my hips
But if I let you live that enjoyable bliss
Will you still be around in the morning?

Welcome To My Life [Kyrielle]

Opened the door; there I saw
the life of those who break the law.
Lying on th floor was the knife;
As she screams, "Welcome to my life!"

I put my bag down on the floor;
Avoiding the mess like before.
Screaming in pain, there lies his wife.
As she screams, "Welcome to my life!"

Hiding in the corner, she lay;
Her faced covered, it's bad today.
With her last attempt; stopping strife.
She whispers. "Welcome to my life..."

Kyrielle
A Kyrielle is a French form of rhyming poetry written in quatrains (a stanza consisting of 4 lines),
and each quatrain contains a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing as the last
line of each stanza). Each line within the poem consists of only eight syllables. There is no limit
to the amount of stanzas a Kyrielle may have, but three is considered the accepted minimum.

This funeral of hearts is vast
Too wide; too large for eyes to see
This funeral deems loneliness
Yet, in need of no company.

This funeral claims sufferers
Of love’s most scorching wrath
This funeral has strung me in
And we cannot turn back

This funeral has dug deep down
Six feet for the lost and weary,
And infinite space for those through
This funeral of hearts has found
Another.
Anguished.
Must Pursue.

Fallen Leaves

Young angels play among us,
with a song inside their heart.
Their beauty outshines everything,
admired like treasure, or perfect art.

Behind the smiling faces,
lies secrets beyond repair.
While nobody is looking,
they search for a love that is not there

They’re like withered leaves in winter,
that have fallen to the ground.
At night they lie in the bitter cold,
just hoping to be found.

From the outside they are envied,
as if their life is at its best.
Yet it’s a deeply different story;
they are anything but blessed.

They just want to be found,
with hugging arms, cheerful faces.
Yet they live their life, just hiding out
inside their disguising, happy faces.

Your heart is like a vampire
It sucks the life out of your lovers
It leaves them dry and dead
To where they are scared for life

Goes so deep the wound never heals
And you go on your mery way
Happy that you have filled your thirst for pain

Which has fed on my heart
But I can't turn away
So I just have to sit here
Until nothing is left for you to nourish on

Cold and careless
You wait until night to show your affection
