easy way to get rhyming in ur poems

I took your advice. Here is what I came up with. The caps words were the ones that came up with my search of "wake."

Steak by the Lake

Every morning when I WAKE
I fix myself a juicy STEAK
and in this treasure I PARTAKE
in my cabin by the LAKE
with water weedy and OPAQUE.

There is not much I have at STAKE
when bread and ceral I FORSAKE,
and make myself a tender STEAK,
in my cabin by the LAKE.
I hope it’s not a BLACK RAT SNAKE.

Heh heh heh... that line about the black rat snake was just genius. Anyway, moral of the story is - use words that fit in your poem. Don't just use lame rhymes like me.

p.s. I have to admit, though, I kind of like "with waters weedy and opaque." I might have to actually use that somewhere.

wow...i checked them out and they have a lot of stuff. i really like www.rhymer.com. they had more word (atleast on the word that i was looking up). thanks for telling about those places!

or even rhyme.poetry.com - it's like www.rhymezone.com with out the ads - might have to try go to it twice though
