MY FIRST CONTEST!!!

Hey, this is my first contest, so bear with me!

RULES
--Can be anything, just as long as it's not innapropriate
--Does not have to rhyme
--Only 15 contestants
--One poem per each person
--Swearing allowed, but not extensive swearing
--Poems can be new or old

My smile would be huge
I'd see your beauty from deep within

We're crazy in love; like one of those forbidden romance movies.
So incapable of being indissoluble [strings attached].
Spend our days at the beach & nights by the moonlight.
Compatible; most people say [so perfectly matched].

Padded Room [surrendering of sanity]

I feel the silence
In the corner of my mind
It creeps.
Teasing me with hunger pains
As darkness falls

I see the tufted walls
But for a button on a panel
That flashes
And an obscure door in the corner
They are empty.

I hear the shutter
As eyes watch from a corner
Of the ceiling
Waiting patiently for my next breath
To be inhaled.

I slip onto the floor
Leaning tired bones against the wall
Ever waiting
For the voice of demons to take control
And give me strength.

Still they wait
On the edge of seats for a word
Forever watching
As I dip into the dampness of insanity
And let it find release.

A scream tears
Inside the darkness of the night
Twisting me
Cloaking me in the depths of madness
My constant refuge.

No longer do I see
The vacant walls surrounding me
Nor hear the shutter
Of vacant eyes watching my inhaled breath
I am numb....

Arms wrap me
Demons carry me to sanctuary
Silence is my conqueror
And darkness calls to claim my tired eyes
Now lost forever

There Goes My Everything

There goes my everything, walking out the door,
"I'm sorry, but I just don't like you anymore".
That's what you said; now I'm single again,
My everything has become "just a friend".

There goes my everything, holding her hand,
Walking by without a care, as (alone) I stand.
Looking her in the eyes, the way you did with me,
My everything and I "aren't meant to be".

There goes my everything, with that someone new,
Not realizing how much it hurts, not having a clue.
Holding her tightly, but not too tight...
My everything is with her tonight.

There goes my everything, the one who cared,
Now walking by as if not noticing that I stare.
I know well enough to know I meant nothing...
But you will always be my everything...

Never Give Up

An ocean of heat blasts over her,
and lingers on her for too long.
She falls to the ground in surprise and shock,
and immediately feels something is wrong.

Breaking out in a sweat,
she tries to fight this body of heat.
But she can only struggle as she gets slowly weaker,
and face this powerful defeat.

Her body goes limp with exhaustion,
and her head lolls about on her neck.
She's drowning in a pool of her own sweat,
but her closing eyes it won't affect.

Her lids are slowly shutting,
her dark lashes and brow soaking wet.
The last thing she sees is a blurry mess,
then she is gripped by a feeling she won't forget.

Eventually she wakes up, in a wave of confusion,
and she doesn't know where she is.
Her body is sore, and her clothes stuck to her skin,
and her damp hair is in a frizz.

She manages to stand, with a bit of swaying,
and she realizes her enemy's no longer there.
The sweltering heat has gone and left her to be,
but has left her alone in fear.

Looking around, she only sees paths,
there's hundreds of them all around.
But which one should she take, where do they lead to?
Should she wait till the right one is found?

She chooses one at random,
and walks up to the start.
But something monstrously scary appears,
and tries to stab her in the heart.

She stops abruptly and runs back,
her heart thumping out of her chest.
She turns and tries another path,
but these things won't give her a rest.

She doesn't lose hope and keeps trying,
how is she managing to cope?
Finally there is only one path left,
this path is her only hope.

She closes her eyes and walks towards it,
saying a silent prayer in her head.
She keeps walking, finally opening her eyes,
to see safety lying ahead.

Never give up hope, even in the worst of times,
and always keep trying your hardest.
Because giving up on these things -
is like giving up on yourself.

Made For Each Other

A silent tear streams down her cheek
Fighting to be strong; accepting she’s weak
Another one follows, until she can count no more
Her teary-eyed stare catches her drawer

A shudder, through her body, as she remembers what’s inside
The pain she’s holding close, she can no longer hide
She slowly gets up and opens the drawer
Hands shaking, she drops the notes on the floor

Collecting her wits as with all of the notes
She sits back down to look at what he wrote
All the memories come back and she’s taken into the past
Back to a time when she thought they would last

As she reread the notes, the tears still dropped
She knew that the steam would never be stopped
After fighting the tears, she gave up, in vain
She knew there was no way to stop the pain

The folded notes, crease folded and torn
With letters and words, faded by worn
Each note, holding its own time frame
Each ending, showing the same exact name

“With Love” or “Yours”; endings meaning nothing now
Wishing things were different, wondering how
Wasted words, left nothing to be found
Wondering what life would be if he was around

Tears still flowing as she puts the notes back
Feeling in her heart, the place where she lacks
So as she sites back down, you can barely hear her mutter:
“But baby, I thought we were Made For Each Other.”

Cold heart

Your hair tied up so delicate,
As it swings past your eyes,
Your lips plump and succulant,
Such beauty cannot disguise,

Your eyes explain everything,
And all I ever knew,
Holding back every day,
But finally it's true,

Your chest presses against mine,
And my heart starts to pound,
I cannot hold a single breath,
I can't make a single sound,

We kissed with our heart,
And held deep inside,
We loved with passion,
And we were never to subside,

The trees whispered our love,
The streams called it too,
The grass danced in joy,
But now I'm lost in you.

Do you hear?

Do you hear my broken heart
Calling out for you to mend
Each fragile peice and mangled part
In pain suspending end from end?
In hopeless words surrendered I
My heart and soul forever yours
And in each thought these words apply
This pain occurs, this pain endurs
Incurring tears from empty eyes
Suffering within each moment
Without hope of compromise
Nor reparation or atonement
Do you hear, oh do you hear?
Did this not your soul impact?
Don't you long to hold me near
To help me keep this soul intact?
You promised me, you promised that
Forever couldn't hold us in and
Even though the world weren't flat
You'd walk with me off it's end
Yet, seems that through this ruined vow
You've left me with a heart that's broken
If only you could hear me now

*Gem*

This sonnet consists of 14 lines (three rhyming quatrain stanzas and a non-rhyming couplet).
Just like the traditional, this sonnet also has a repeating line or phrase as a
refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). French poetry forms have a tendency to link back to the beginning
of the poem, so common practice is to use the first and last line of the first quatrain as the ending
couplet. This would also re-enforce the refrain within the poem. Therefore, a good rhyming scheme

Fooled by your bright eyes
Paralyzed by your effective smiles
But if I get stuck in a dream of lies
Will you be around to wake?

Feel like a respectful princess to be
But if I have a wrong I didn't see

I wonder why you even say you love me.
Everyday it proves less and less.
It doesn't take a lot for my heart to break,
Or for these tears to fall.

ok, im entering one of my poemz ;p

"daddy, i love you"

She happily jumpropes in the yard,
doesn't notice the man in his car,
he's way too silent coming up,
from behind, in one move, she drops.
She screams as her torn wrists run red,
he's leaning over her in bed,
there next to her lies a gun,
she knows that it has just begun.

One by one, the blows they fall,
'till he's almost broken them all,
but as she cries, she feels no pain,
oblivion descends like rain.
He throws her body to the ground,
an empty shell, waiting to be found,
her blood still covering his arms,
he walks away, taking no harm.

The killer sits, in his room,
as a radio plays a lonely tune,
his face buried in his hands,
he has no hope, but yet he stands.
On the wall a picture sits, for what he did avenge,
every child that he fell, was killed for his revenge.
On this picture, under the glass, four words are scrawled across,
the meaning of his angry life, the reason for his loss.

In it shows a little girl, dressed up, wearing a fairy crown,
his eyes are strangely bright, as he takes the picture down.
He remembers that one dark night, so very long ago,
ever since that wretched day, the hours have gone too slow.
The fate of his little girl, is far too true,
as the truth echoes in the words she wrote;
"Daddy, I love you"

this is kind of new, i hope you like it!

I have the urge to say
I miss you a lot
Since you're far away
Me, you probably forgot

Forgot how I look
And the things I would say
When I look into your eyes
Hoping I've made your day

Forgot how I think
You're amazing and wonderful
So sweet and caring
Yet also quite powerful

Fate played a cruel game
And took you away
So those sweet words of love
To say, I can't find a way

My poems lack the attention
I once got from you
Do you even stop to read them
At all, do you do

As we live separate lives
Know what I feel in my heart
You're the love of my life
Even if we're miles apart.
