Ashleigh... yes no, you are right, exactly like I said to stephen, I want one that opens your eyes, not just a touching one, I want something that reaches out and pulls you in.

Well lucy, heres one i wrote. maybe its along the lines of what your looking for.

    "checkmate"

Ive tried not to meet you in my dreams anymore.
i often ask as my thoughts are leaving one by one: would you mean much
more to me if i remembered?
i raise my finger to my head to scratch.... but wonder 'is this helping me think anyhow?'
the yellow marker in my pocket never tiers of leaving you messages in places you'll never see. i suppose they'll be coming to get me now..
I'm out of sedatives, so pass the placebo.. i can never tell anyway.
the soundtrack locked in my mind is always the same, a harmonica..
no. thrash metal with a keyboard?.. a mono toned thrumming resounding in my head, as i sink into the river bed.
and let the manifestos of men in suits cascade over me.
meanwhile: the world keeps scuttling along like the residents of an ant hill.
Ive lost my umbrella, and I'm in need of anesthetic..
so get the shovels on the double..
can i go home now? for i haven't the faintest about dreaming anyhow..
when will i be free from this masquerade ?
    count down the days
    on an
    abacus
    for me.

  • AlaSkA

    Maybe... somthing alittle different.

    "a thousand paper cranes"

Meet me under the power lines,
In the pewter sky of November.
    I can see them..
Snuffed out, like the life of a dandelion.
    Ghosts, abandoned,
Though they are... [Still like statues]
    Can they hear me?
    Awash, translucent among the vespers,
Something is coming to extinguish them.
I wonder: how fervent is the hand,
    that erases his own writing?
Stoic, on their perch, they do not want to stay.
    Tonight they will fly away.

    Prophesy of the Senses:

I tasted the future in the tears of children
And saw the world as it came to an end
Discovered Jehovah as he came down
From heaven to earth in A Shining Gown

I smelled the future in the flowers of yesteryear
Watched as the pollen drifted in the clear
Tasted the pedals in the softness of the dew
And forever Ill give my heart, forever to you

I felt the future in the softness of your touch
And its trapped me in its harsh clutch
Suspending my senses in infinite ecstasy
Tastes so sweet like that of the Honey Bee

I saw the future in the hearts of passersby
Together well live and together well die
Forever shall pass but this shall live on
Because forever isnt long enough to move on

I heard the future in the beating of the rain
Our future, together, apart, in times of pain,
in times of sadness, in times we want to forget
Yet here we are trying to change a set fate

    READ MY POEM CALLED

    " TEARS OF COLUMBINE HIGH.

I heard the beat of Angel's wings,
as if hurrying in their flight.
    The soft, but steady, whirring
    of angels in the night.

    They circled 'round Columbine High
    and waited for the nod.
They gathered the souls of students.
    They were sent by God.

    They quickly found the children,
took them gently by the hand,
    they carried your child to God;
    safe from this violent land.

    God spread the gates
    of Heaven wide.
    He bade the angels
    bring your child inside.

    The trumpets of Gabrielle's angels
    played a welcoming call.
The angels of Columbine High are gathered
    now in Heaven's Hall.

Rest ye' now your weary hearts.
    Let your teardrops fall.
God now holds your children safe
    in Heaven's Hallowed Hall.

    See a star.
    Reach for the light.
    Your children are glowing
    in God's magic night.

    Empty heart -by Noor-

To trust or not to trust
to believe or not to be believe
that in future everything will be OK
So these dragonfly's wings carry me back home
are they strong enough to hold us both

Should I let you go, should I not..
Do these hands are harsh enough
to build a safe home, more than a sand castle
The Wave of life are sometimes too high
the Storm are arisen from the sea
What if they weep us both to the ocean?
Will the corals tell our story to them?

    Slowly I am swinging
I am sitting on the swing board
the playground is empty I can see
the sand cakes this on the sand pit
Some toys left from the children
Can we make this life together?

If I promise to take care of you
will you also take care of me when I am old
I want to give you a life
born you to this world but I afraid
one day you will hate me
that I was not good enough for you
That I could not be same time your mom and dad..

Look not at what you used to be,
The present day's what you should see.
Forget the darkness of your past,
Those are memories you need to trash.

Look not forward at things to come,
For you can't be sure, that they'll be done.
I warn you now within this rhyme,
You ought not trifle with things like time.

Look only on what's here today,
Whether the skies be clear or gray.
Look not on the future or the past,
For time is something that will not last.
