As I lay dying
in sight of burning cities,
observing the world
becoming shattered history.

Bombs and fires
surround the towns,
mortality rates
begin to drop down.

Fatalities and causalities
cause unbearable pain,
brought on ourselves
by our enemy's reign.

This highway to hell
an existence of none,
the highway to nowhere
caused by the gun.

Nuclear holocaust
ruptures the earth,
destroying all life
no chance of rebirth.

Selfishness corrupts
the innocent mind,
dictatorial governments
becoming blind.

No one will live
when the clouds clear,
all life forgone
as the end draws near.

Such a long title,
Words cast astrew,
A bit like the day,
When I met you.

We didn't talk much,
Sat far apart,
I never could tell,
You would be in my heart.

Our words weren't many,
For we said the same things,
Back when I didn't know,
The warmth your smile brings.

We began to sit closer,
Until our legs touched,
I laughed at your jokes,
You absorbed my fake punch.

You leaned on my shoulder,
As I helped you draw,
Your eyes are the nicest,
Ones I ever saw.

When the classroom turns quiet,
Others out of sight,
We converse, and you always,
Make me feel alright.

I think that you know,
How I feel about you,
If you don't, that one word,
Might give you a clue.

You're such a great friend,
I need you so much,
I'm sad when you're gone,
Glad when we touch.

When our eyes meet,

I can't help but smile,

Lol. Okaaayyy. Someone's getting a bit aggressive there. You never said I could not enter another poem. All you said was that I had to reserve first. But whatever, sorry for entering a poem.

Highway to nowhere.

For miles and miles I can only see,
everything you'd dreamed I'd be.
From lawyer, to doctor to teacher.
Once you even dreamed a preacher.
But, life is life, and this one is mine.

For miles and miles I can only see,
everything I dreamed I'd be.
From this to that, and that to this.
Each I've passed, and each I've missed.

As I lay beyond the ocean,
left behind, mind in motion.
thoughts run through,
each surrounding you.

You sent me on my way,
left there alone that day.
After, I worked so long,
you still said I did it all wrong.

I became what you wanted me to be.
Upon this road of an unmarked destiny.
I've followed the highway to nowhere,
for someone who didn't even care.

She always watched you from afar,
with all her feelings kept inside.
Though she never did admit it,
she'd die just to be at your side.

Wondered how she fell for you,
she was won over by your charms.
Needed to feel your warm embrace,
she'd die to be inside your arms.

Dreamed of you every night,
she loved that more than anything.
Fantasizing of your love,
she'd die to be your everything.

Wanted at times to feel your lips,
hoping that soon you'd grant her this.
Only to have you close to her,
she'd die to give into your kiss.

Wished each day this love would last,
that you'd always be together.
To hear your soft and loving words,
she'd die to know you mean forever.

And when she finally got her wish,
she realized that this love was true.
Before, she would die to have your love,
but now she's living just for you.
