I realize that "cause" is a real word, and " 'cause " is a shortened up version of "because"... But it's still a word, isn't it? Has it been slang all this time and I had no idea? :S ... I feel kinda stupid, but I noticed that if I used " 'cause " in my poem, it wouldn't submit without being put in the slang poetry...So I thought I'd ask. |

(lol) In no way did I mean that I was trying to redefining history or language, or that I thought I could. I realize shakespeare did, and that's why I brought it up - he's put that little mark on alot of words to shorten them up- and in turn his lines were perfectly syllabled and flowed beautifully. I remember now though, that those words he used are infact shakespeare's 'slang'... Anyway, my question has been answered and I thankyou all for your help. |
