while I do understand your point, I don't see why if you don't want to hear about all those issues, why open that thread? most of the titles are self-explanatory? everyone has a choice of what to look at and what to ignore. nobody's forcing you to read, look at, or help anyone.

When I did my Psych class/clinicals for Nursing, they taught us that when someone threatens suicide you are suppose to ask them how they are going to do it. The rational for this is that if someone really is going to commit suicide they would already have a plan. If this is true, some stranger on the internet making a joke or trying to talk them out of it will not change their mind.

Ricky, your comparison is off the wall (it's almost criminal) and you have no sense of humor. Comedians make jokes about road rage, OJ Simpson, different races, etc. on subjects that are not really funny except for in the context they are using them. Your problem is your perception of the message. No one on this forum really thinks suicide is funny!!!!!

Announcing that you want to commit suicide is a cry for help and most people crying for help do so at their Psychiatrist's office, at the hospital or to family or friends.

And your degree is Psychology Ricky is from where?

If you do go to school for Psychology, then you know his statement is true!

This is the second time I've stated this for the record: Your problem is with your perception of the message.

You should know this though since you took psychology that every person has problems, they all deal with them differently and it doesn't prove your point when your resort to cursing! You need anger management and see if you could get a sense of humor to go along with that!

and i was in that state of suicde manytimes i wrote a poem called manage its not on my name pixie its on me new account i forgot to switch it over 9 outta ten people who commit suicide do it because of there home life and how there raised at home i got help and the person that helped me now is my husband i have had no thoughts since he told me the facts u dont only hurt urself u hurt others and he told me that i would hurt him and since i found hope i have changed he is right go outside and take a walk or call a friend it really helps

i have common sence but as u can tell i lack book sence

as i can tell u only think of ur self what if that was your mother talking that way what would u do?

as i can tell u would sit there and watch her cut her wrist or hang herself now who is the bad person here?

I never gave percentages. This is not a statistics thread. You have turned this into much more than it is. You have no idea what my morals are or how professional I am when the situation warrants. I never said your opinion was the worst in the world. That is lame. You don't have a sense of humor. You are entitled to your opinion, the same as everyone else. It was a joke, get over it. I am not arguing with someone who pretends to know what they are talking about. You disagreed with the content of this thread, it is not going to be erased, get over it.

When someone said, "You killed this innocent thread, Ricky" They were right. It was a joke. Calm yourself, realize that it was a poke of fun at people who cry all over themselves because "I think my boyfriend wants to break up with me. I'm so sad. HELP!" That kind of thing. Not like that article you posted (which I read). So get a sense of humor and leave this poor forum alone. My goodness.

I think it is funny that you say I claim to have a medical background. I was working in the medical field before you reached puberty. Now that I see you are only 18 and take everything out of context along with your lack of understanding the intentions of this post, I am done arguing. You are still a teenager awaiting more development in the frontal lobe of your brain. Talk to you in 10 years when you've matured. And you should be asking yourself about the common sense.

This is not about recognizing signs and symptoms of any illness, it is about your lack of a sense of humor. Get over it already!

I now recognize it is time to get ready for me to go to work. Boy, I sure hope all my experience helps me recognize vtach tonight or afib or pulmonary edema or someone who needs a psych consult.......

It was so ridiculous I chose not to acknowledge it and I do the same now with anything else you have to say. This is not a test of my knowledge in the medical field. You would not have a clue where to begin that line of questioning. I didn't get my credentials nor my degrees with my good looks, that's for sure.

^I can vouch for Rachel....since I gave birth to her....she is a nurse....and an awesome one!....and worked hard for her degree at a highly accredited nursing school!

I was not going to get in on this thread but when you are downing my family member I have to say something for my niece...Yes I am Rachel's Aunt and Debbie's sister....I have been disabled for along time and Rachel is a nurse who cared for me while she was going to nursing school..Yes she is a real nurse (RN) not a let's pretend nurse (LPN)....my sister Debbie is also a real nurse and my mother a let's pretend nurse.. My son is a paramedic....so you picked the right family for this discussion.....How are you Illuminati.....lol....I tried to keep my mouth shut this time I really did....very hard when someone is saying some of these things.

I almost forgot.....Sluvious.....you do have a way of causing turmoil and disappearing....I Love It! LMAO
