What's worse: to love and be hurt or never loving at all?

I've been struggling with this question for a while. Sometimes I wish that I had never loved, because the people i have loved have always hurt me. Is it right to wish i had never felt the emotion of love?

Not loving at all is worse. I know the pain is hard and it takes a long time to get over it and note on. But something has to set the standards. And dont look for mister or misses right. They will find you when the time is right. Nessa

I have been with this girl for almost a year now, things have gone perfect, we love each other, we spend time, we do everything. And guess what... we are both 14....

You learn from your experiences, good and bad. Learning makes you strong, so I suppose I'd rather love and be hurt than never love at all. I'm for taking the chance and failing, instead of never taking the chance and always wondering what could've been.

I never know how to answer this question, but I think that if you've 'loved' and been hurt in the past, it can only help you appreciate real love more when you get it later on in life, know what I mean?

To be loved and to be hurt is the best thing that you could choose.

This is just my opinion though. I've been in 1 other relationship before and it's best to be loved and then hurt. When your hurt, you grow stronger because of it. And you learn from the mistakes and the things that hurt you just gets you even stronger then what you were before. Like a baby and it's first steps. It'll fall over and over again til it get's it right and actually walks. But us all will fall again sometime in our lives. Falling only gives us more courage to go out and find what you've been missing! Everything may seem so out of place or you may feel like nothing matters anymore when you get hurt but in later years you'll be happy that it happened. Everything happens for a reason.

I think that it's not love that we hate, it's the pain that comes with it that we hate. To never love is by far the worst because if we don't have the hope of love then what do we have to keep us going?
Like others above me said, the pain and hurts that we make it through are what makes us strong and shapes us into what and who we are meant to be. I love being in love I just hate getting my heart broken in the end but I would always choose the chance that this time I might get it right over hiding from the world so I don't get hurt =)

Its worse to never love at all. I feel bad for anyone who never gets to feel as great as love can make you feel. Without the pain you can never truely feel the love though =/

Love is the greatest thing this world has to offer, I really hope everybody gets to experience love even if it hurts you in the end. There really is no greater feeling then looking into somebody's eyes and just falling to pieces everytime. Don't be afraid of what will become of love , just cherish it and never take it for granted.
