What do think is worse losing your ability to write poetry or losing a limb?

Personally losing my ability to write poetry would be the death of me...

Losing a limb... As long as it was just losing the ability to write poems and I didn't lose the ability to write altogether or paint I would still find other ways in which to express myself...

Inability to write? Why would that happen? How? Explain.

    Losing a limb is worse.

    Losing a limb.

I have barely been able to write poems lately... and i am finding it to be a relief. But I run, play basketball, swim, etc. and losing a limb would destroy me.

Personally, I would rather lose my ability to write poetry, only because it's more of a hobby then a life to me. If you're proposing plagiarism, David, you're not very 'UniQue' then. I don't really think there's such thing as losing your ability to write poetry. Poetry can really be anything, but people always think it has to be rhythmic or have a clear meaning in some way, in order for it to be called poetry. Losing a limb wouldn't be all that bad either. Sure people would look at you funny, but it shouldn't matter what they think.

    Umm..
    Poetry is important.
But I'd rather lose that limb.
    But would that mean
    I have lost my creativity?
    I don't know...

Indubidoubly. I prefer dancing and singing over poetry. I love poetry, but there is more to life...I think. Plus, I like my limbs...I'd be less attractive if I was missing one. How terrible would that be? All I have to offer is my looks! Ha.

    No, if I couldn't write poetry...I'd write lyrics :)

Hmm I'd say that losing the ability to write would be worse at least if I lost a limb I would still feel like a whole person if I could write something.. but if I couldnt write then everything would be kept bottled up inside and I think I would explode eventually.. and thats much worse than losing a limb.

What I meant by losing your ability to write is say you got into an accident that left your brain not as it should be (if you know what I mean) or something like that. A kind of Permenant Writers Block.

I know it's a strange thread, but it's so interesting to see all your responses.

    Thanks
