    If Everyone Cared
    by l o v e x 3 ((Ciao~))

    Dear Mister President, I have some words to say.
    Will you listen to me or turn your head away?
    I'm nothing special, but I speak my mind.
    And this is something that I have come to find.

    If everyone cared, then no one would die.
    Did you ever stop and think about why?
    People are killing and people are crying;
    All because some people are lying.

    If everyone cared, would we still be fighting?
    If we cared, then I wouldn't be writing.
    Stop the war; get our forces home.
    We can't deal with being alone.

    Men torn from families; women left alone.
    They're being hardened by each bomb thrown.
    Help our families, please bring them back.
    Stop the fighting and the attacks.

    Don't you see that if everyone cared,
    No one would lie; no one would dare.
    Hurtful words would never be spoken;
    Leaving people with hearts, broken.

    If everyone cared, no one would be dead.
    We wouldn't have to worry; we wouldn't have to dread.
    All the stories on the news, filled with scary sorrows.
    All the women and the men, scared about tomorrow.

    Dear Mister President, Please lend me a moment or two.
    I know that you have the time to stop what we go through.
    Look at our lives; we are all living scared.
    It would be different, If Everyone Cared.

    Freedom?

    You say we're free
    In a land with no choice
    You say we're free
    Here you have no voice

    You say we're free
    From the sting of starvation
    You say we're free
    In a dying nation

    You say we're safe
    Each and every day
    The government better realize
    That their country isn't okay

    As each day passes
    Our strength ebbs away
    We're running out of room
    To keep the terror at bay

    We need to have a plan
    In this time of need
    We need to rid the senate
    Of avarice and greed

    I would die to save this land
    For my friends and country
    But when asked the question
    I answer "We Are Not Free"

    Homeless Veterans
    by Twisted Heart

    We see them sleeping in the alleys
    Cardboard boxes are their homes
    Dirty faces, hands and bodies
    Upon their backs, tattered clothes are worn.
    Help shelters are forbidden fruit
    For they hold thieves and liars
    Taking all that you possess
    And more, if they so desire.
    So on the streets the solemn trod
    As they try to find themselves
    They got lost somewhere upon
    The government's top shelves..
    They fought the wars, on foreign land
    As freedom's eagles soared
    But then we spat on their return
    And they questioned what they had fought for.
    These proud few, who we had sent
    To fight, we have lost track
    They've fallen hard into the dark
    And got lost in the cracks.
    Don't think they don't remember
    Or notice when you turn away
    Because they see your shudder
    When you pass them every day.
    You'll smile as your step quickens
    You'll throw some change sometimes
    But have you ever thought of them
    Or is the pittance just to ease your mind.

    Lost In Translation

    Homosexual death,
    The bible on their breath,
    Judge and you'll be judged,
    Hatred wont be budged.

    I shall pick a line,
    And make it mine,
    It's here to suit my needs,
    I'll leave out what I cannot use,
    And hope that I succeed.

    A fish without a fin,
    Too eat it is a sin,
    And planting wheat with hay,
    Well too hell you're on your way.

    Piggies may taste sweet,
    But you cannot eat their meat,
    Enjoy some rabbit stew,
    And your values are askew.

    Abusing the testament of God,
    In a hate filled, angry facade,
    Is Christlike in no way,
    Though you practice everyday.

    My Heart Broke For Humanity

    by Sarah Ann

    My heart broke for humanity

    For the weeping eyes of bloody tears
    Plastered smiles on the faces of children
    Who know not what is happening
    But know enough to stay strong
    When everything is wrong.

    My heart broke for humanity

    For the wandering souls of broken roads
    Without a care in the world...praying
    Perhaps one day, we will understand
    What has brought them to their woe?
    Or maybe...Ignorance will never let us know.

    My heart broke for humanity

    For the victims of an endless war
    Stripped of innocence and freedom
    Pulled from loving families
    Torn between decisions
    But I admire their strength
    Something I cannot fathom...and so I cry

    My heart broke for humanity.

    Everyday I wonder what it will bring
    There are two roads life can turn on
    And I whispered to myself today,
    Are we a proud civilization?
    Who ever wanted this?

    I pray for the day the world would see,

    This heart weeps for humanity.

    Liberty Cries

    Around a harbor full of lies,
    A lady stands, shame in her eyes,
    Bows her head and begins to cry

    They live their life of crime
    Never scared of doing time
    Scott free never paying a dime

    Street life vagrants and thugs
    Six foot holes continually dug
    Supporting habits, selling drugs

    Even from prison, if they are sent
    Their victim's lives, filled with torment
    With no intentions to ever repent

    A bed, a roof, and three squares
    Hell it's like we run daycares
    We're armed, no rights we bear

    Play Basketball and watch T.V.
    After going on a killing spree
    In America's prisons they are free

    Slave to the world, lost values
    Stands now before the accused
    No explanation for these views

    Political lies, amounts to bullshit
    Never reformed when they acquit
    Living free for crimes they commit

    There is no cure, just allow parole
    Politicians fattening their own bankroll
    In on the deal, we've lost control

    She bows her head lets out a sigh
    America the free, she tells the lie
    In that harbor she still cries

    Amazing Grace.

    The fear within her eyes,
    shallow as can be.
    The blood upon her skin,
    blotted for eternity.
    The space engaged within,
    that's how it will always be.

    The bruises on his arms,
    show something unknown.
    The crackling in his voice,
    is chilling to the bone.
    The look glued upon his face,
    proves that he's alone.

    The pain within their lives,
    is something we can't feel.
    The hope that they have lost;
    I wish it was not real.
    The world upon their shoulders,
    hides what needs to reveal.

    'Amazing Grace,
    How sweet the sound.'
    These foster kids
    are heaven bound..
    Just after the trusted
    beat them around.

    Stand Up

    Each morning comes the weeping,
    For a soul lost to the mire,
    Death comes knocking everyday,
    As we set this world on fire.

    Boom! There goes Iraq,
    Korea and Iran are next,
    The tyrants in this bitter race,
    Pay no last respects.

    Mothers sit here weeping,
    As their children die in vain,
    Blood has washed away the line,
    Between love and sweet disdain.

    Our leaders are not listening,
    What a great democracy,
    They only represent themselves,
    Such pure hypocrisy.

    We create the things we fear the most,
    Weapons and monsters alike,
    And then we say we never knew,
    When insanity does strike.

    Our own people are falling fast,
    At home, not just abroad,
    If we cant fix what's broken here,
    Ourselves we do defraud.

    Education's failing,
    Their funding is no more,
    Our kids cant even go to school,
    Safely anymore.

    We pay these taxes out our ass,
    And what is then returned?
    Pictures on the evening news,
    Of what's been bombed or burned.

    This is not what I pay for,
    Dictatorship on high,
    It's time to stand up as a people,
    And scream out our reply.

    Show we will not take it,
    And prove it's us who reign,
    Uniting under a common thread,
    Leading unrestrained.

    THE BELLS
    by gabriella

    The bells toll,
    The bells of death.
    For the men,
    As they take their last breath.

    The wind blows,
    A scream of pain.
    For the children,
    Whose blood falls down like rain.

    The animal speaks,
    The being of power.
    They bare their chests,
    Blood is all they can offer.

    The earth shakes,
    A call for freedom,
    As the slaves fall,
    Their faces gruesome.

    The men walk,
    The men once dead,
    Chanting as they go,
    “he gave us his blood and bread”

    the children sink,
    in waves of blue,
    in their place,
    an ocean grew.

    The blood spills,
    But blood of forgiveness,
    As it dissolves into,
    The forever of darkness.

    The slaves run free,
    Chains cast aside,
    They watched them go,
    They hadn’t lied.

    We still stand here,
    Weapons in arm,
    Yet maybe today,
    We’ll do no harm.

    i hope this is good, i don't think it can compare to anyone elses but here ya go!!!
    xoxo

    ````````````````````````````````
    The Sharpest Lives
    The sharpest lives we live,
    In such a deadly shame.
    In a world full of deceit,
    With a hatred we can't tame.
    We hide behind every lie,
    Which we consume at birth.
    We feed from it until we die;
    There's nothing to this Earth.
    The sun shines so bright,
    Yet still behind smiles we hide.
    Within our lives there is no light,
    No inner soul to confide.
    Let man take our dreams,
    And throw them in our face.
    It isn't as hard as it seems,
    They've consumed the human race.
    Ruin my dreams and I'll build new ones,
    With exactly the same views.
    I'll bring the devil in with a whirl of guns,
    To your sanitary pews.
    So, to my heart let the devil speak;
    I'll give you my style of sin.
    This is a definite no, no I will seek,
    In hearts of so many men.
    It's just like the sharpest lives we live,
    In such a godly, sinful shame.
    With nothing but a world that doesn't give,
    Through a killing hatred we can't tame.
    Shame on me for being me,
    A person all on my own.
    Shame on me to see,
    And stand up all alone.
    I will not follow the crowd;
    I will stick up for what I believe is right.
    I will speak loud because I'm proud
    In a world that's a sad, sad sight.
    It's just like the sharpest lives we live,
    In such a godly, sinful shame.
    This is a definite no, no I will seek,
    In hearts of so many men.
