I changed my poem now. It used to be shorter, but now it's this one. Hope you like it:

    My Unreachable Dream

    Life is so complicated,
And all I feel is loss,
    The loss of words,
    Of dreams,
    Of hope,
    And of knowing.

    I used to know myself,
    From head to toe,
But now all I can do,
    Is try to make sense,
    Of this harsh, complicated world.

    My mind is a mix,
    As time slowly ticks,
    I hide away,
    Until I die,
    Ever since,
    That fateful day.

That day when I met you,
    And knew that I couldn't,
    That I couldn't love you,
Not even if I truly did.

    You looked so handsome,
And you talked with such care,
That my heart started to warm,
    Warming with every word,
    Those words that you spoke,
    That I loved so dearly.

    But you had a life,
    Filled with much joy,
    That you didn't need someone,
    Someone like me,
    To help make the darkness,
    Slowly fade away.

    Instead I became this,
    Lost and confused,
    I want to die,
    Rather than dread,
    What I could have had.

    His name,
    You ask,
    I cannot say,
    For I slowly drift,
    Drifting away,
    Away from you,
    From him,
    And from love.

    Time keeps on ticking,
    Slowly but surely,
    I cry ever day,
But at least I can say,
    That I have felt love,
At least once in this lonely, dark life.

I know it's not inspirational or anything, but I tried.

    When She Looks At Life
    by MezmeRyz

    Sometimes she looks at you
And wonders if she could find a clue
To work out what she had done to
Deserve all you have put her through

Her friends don't seem to stick around,
    Once a 'best friend' is now an enemy;
Will that happen with every one of them?
Will the cause always be jealousy?

Her past should be over and done with,
    And she tries to forget and never miss;
Why do you bring it back and punish her?
Why do you force her to reminisce?

Her sufferings deep, engraved a mile
She thinks to weep, but yet she smiles,
Believes it is not you, but just a trial
Tries to make every moment worthwhile

However hard she tries it always comes back
The need to run-away and flee to freedom
Of her mind and soul, she seems to lose track
And happiness appears to reach her seldom

When she sits down and thinks of you,
Watching you running, she enjoys the sight.
    But not of all that you put her through;
Wanting you to be over, relishing in your flight

Sometimes when she looks at you
She wonders if she could find a clue
To work out what she had done to
Deserve all you have put her through

Maybe it's because she is herself,
Have you picked her from all the rest?
Why do you think she deserves this pain?
So that she makes believe it's all a test?

Though the scars may fade, from contact with the blade,
It is deep they have grazed, in the heart they've laid.
And the marks they've made, with tears they are weighed,
Where they began, they have stayed. This is the price she has paid.

*Just in case it is not clear, although mentioned in the title; 'you' is life itself and 'she' is me.

    My Shadow

    My Shadow Wears
A Vail Of Deception And Lies,
    A Jacket Of Deceit,
And Sunglasses That Hide The Tears
    She Cries.

    Her Hair Is Like
    Woven Flames,
    Burning In The Night.

My Shadow Is A Fallen Star
That Will Never Hit The Ground
She Spins And Twirls, Falling Faster,
    But Missing Everything Around.

    Near Me

    _____

    Around me, you're not jerky;
    You're actually quite sweet.
    When I can't solve a problem,
    You easily help me.

I like that you're so kind,
    Showing me compassion.
    A treasure did I find,
    Along with all your passions.

    Everything you say,
    Sticks inside my head,
    I go through every day,
    Without an ounce of dread.

    Why should I be upset,
When you're here by my side?
    I forget all my regrets,
    You are whom I confide.

    We talk about our differences,
    And all the similarities;
    Offering condolensces,
    About our crazy families.

    I'm so glad that I've met you;
You make the days seem bright,
    In everything you do,
You help me win my fights.

    Reflections
    by Twisted Heart

    Mirror, Sacred Mirror
    Why have thou forsaken me
    Into your depths I stare
    The liquid pool of age
    Has captured my face
And left me in tenure there.

    A reflected soul
    Captured within your draft
    I see you emulate
    The childhood innocence
    Skin of porcelain
    Mere time should not abate.

    But it has, dear mirror
    No longer do I see
The young maid of long ago
    In her youthful place
    Is a weathered face
    Of someone I don't know.

    A woman who's eyes
    Show wisdom and concern
    Experience has taught her well
    And the heart's own laughter
    Has gone thereafter
And replaced her with this shell.

    Girl Of Deceit

    by Sarah Ann

She's hiding behind covers of fate
Running before it's far too late,
She's deceiving all, oh who is she,
Who wears her mask so beautifully?

She smiles and hearts shine in light
Bringing color to darkness; life to night
Of all sorrows she may hold inside,
She is indifferent, yet so full of pride.

Mysterious shadows dance on her face
She's accepting them with an embrace
With a flawless figure; idol complexion
What brings forth her sound perfection?

When questioning, don't trip and stammer
She's a man eater, toppled with glamour
Her scent will leave you in a trance
With neither notice nor a second glance

And amid the beautiful porcelain skin
Lies a broken promise deep within
A heart so lost; so sore but dead
How is she still one step ahead?

She's hiding behind progress of lies
Phony is her smile and disguise
Yet I admire her - Girl of deceit.
She's taught me how to feel complete.

    The Real Me (True poem)

    I look around me
    Only if I could hear
    What they were saying
    I hide in fear

    Fear of being reject
    But I know
    And what to expect
    Hopefully I can cope

    With my hearing disability
    Hoping people won't tease
    That I cannot speak
    But only with my hands

But this is the real me
My life, I choose to stand
    Yes, I am deaf
    And there's no regret

    This is the real me
Go ahead if you wanna tease
At least I still can speak
    But with my own hands

(I have grew up deaf, expecting the expected, people teased me for it but then eventually I ingored it and be who I really was.. being deaf.. heck Im proud of it)

  • Hatori

  • Victoria Rainey

    Soul Song (Form: Mirrorred Refrain)

Upon the horizon lost songs dance
Waiting for fingers to make them whole
Dissolved in notes from a free guitar
Sweet the strings resonate my soul

Throughout the meadow my voice it rings
    Proclaiming musical desire afar
Sweet the strings resonate my soul
Dissolved in the notes from a free guitar

Waves of melodies over the audience break
An escape from rules and control
Dissolved in notes from a free guitar
Sweet the strings resonate my soul

An internal sounding of truth and hope
Reflected in a song from a star
Sweet the strings resonate my soul
Dissolved in the notes from a free guitar

    A Sad Little Girl
    by J.E.S.S.Y

Sparkling tears slowly fall down pale cheeks
Gently rolling over all the curves and extra weight
Outlining her differences and letting people see
That when she was sad, this little girl just ate..

Not really that big at all, thinking she is huge
Covering up a body, keeping people out of her life
Ashamed and scared, broken and crying she remained
Maybe the answer was to turn to that shiny knife..

Walking consciously down the crowded street
Feeling that all eyes laid on her were disgusted
Trying so hard to blend in and feeling such a fool
Maybe this was caused by the people she trusted..

Sparkling tears slowly fall down pale cheeks
Gently rolling over all the curves and extra weight
Outlining her differences and letting people see
That when she was sad, this little girl just ate..
