How do you Write Poetry?

How do you write Poetry? Do you sing it, put a rhythm to it? Hod you you write your poems?

I write like something that could almost be connected to hip hop... But by all means not connected to ganster rap since I only write sad poetry...

I try to put a rythm into it... so that it fits and flows as you read... and I always rhyme...

What about yourself?

I always rhyme, as well.

I always try to put a sarcastic touch to it, now-a-days. It makes people laugh while talking about true issues. It keeps them reading . . . and to be honest, I like my writing a bit better because of it. =]

I start it out as a tune and go on from there. The first line may ryhme, but it's a pretty easy technique. I also use my feelings :D

I usually

1) TAKE A PEN
and
2) WRITE ON PAPER

Anything after that is just .... not technically me.

I'm not really sue how you write a poem. I write mine by sitting down somewhere I can't be bothered and turning on some music and just let my hand flow over the paper.

Um... start of by feeling a strong emotion...
sad, happy, dreamy...whatever.
Then write out whatever comes to mind...
Then put it in order and add rhythm.

I have always wanted to know the samething... I went years not knowing, and I have always wanted to write a poem...I wrote my first poem about a week or so ago for the first time... I am so proud of myself... I just sat down one day, and I started thinking of someone who I care a lot about...I just wrote my thoughts of her down and it turned into a poem....

I feel it, i dream it, i become it. It is the essence of my soul. My heart spilled out onto paper. I take the pain, love, hope, desire, from all those around me and I make it mine. I write it. I sing it, it flows off my tongue like whispers in the wind. Can you hear it?

Just write what you feel. If you like rhyme just put some rhyme in it.
