Im hosting my first contest so if you all already experience hosting a contest tell me if Im doing anything wrong.. pls and thanks for al who do in ahead of time just in case I forget to say "thankyou"

The tears plz

The Tears

A droplet of reflection,
Of the past in my hand,
I take every comment,
And cower where I stand,

You can't tell me anymore,
Of anything you've done,
We can't be together now,
We cannot keep our fun,

Set the scene with fireflies,
Light up my little screen,
An onlooker of your life,
Replaced from where I've been,

Tears are tragic nothings,
Glass that shatters dreams,
Friends shouldn't do this,
Should never break the seams,

Priceless little crystals,
That fall from the eye,
Silver precious stones,
That come when I cry,

I miss the time we had,
Laughing until we hurt,
I never thought we'd die,
Or leave me in the dirt.

I know it was a last minute contest.. but all week I BEEN trying to find out how to work this contest.. then finally I did so .. and I go back to school tmw.. its a bording school so I won't be able to give an extra day but if you cant its okay because there will always be more contest .. so yeah...hopefully u undestand. then again Im sorry for the last minute contest...

Everlasting Bond (Acrostic)

Ever since I met you
Very inquisitive I became
Every quality and characteristic about you
Really intriguing my brain
Longed to create a friendship
As around you I always floated
Secrets we soon began to share
Times with each other we often doted
I will always remember my heart you did touch
Never will I want to lose you, especially because
Gorgeous I think you are so very much.

Becoming one of my favorite persons
Obviously for each other we so much care
Now you've become a part of me
Defining this everlasting bond we share.

An acrostic is when the first letter of each line spells out a word or phrase.

A Phone Call

You promised me you were just a phone call away;
That not matter what, you'd listen to what I'd say-
But now you're gone; my heart left so broken;
By all the words that are still left unspoken.

I need to tell you things I've kept bottled up inside;
I need to let the tears out, now that I can no longer cry.
You were always there for me, to wipe tears off my face-
What am I to do without your sweet, loving embrace?

I reach for the phone, your number stuck in my head;
I dial blindly, trying not to recall what they had said.
"He's gone. I'm sorry. There was nothing we could do,
But he left a note and it's written for you."

Reading it over the phone, I broke down and cried.
I just couldn't believe that he could ever die.
"Babe, I love you, but this world's too tough.
I'm sorry to leave you, to deal with all this stuff.

I know it's not fair, but my life was too cruel;
Please don't think badly, for I am the fool.
Just remember the way I used to be.
Please, move on, just for the sake of me."

The rest of the words slurred as I spun around the room.
I felt like I was encased inside a closed tomb.
My knees got weak and then I fell to the floor;
I looked up and all I saw was the bedroom door.

I don't remember falling asleep, but it hit me when I woke-
The ringing in my ears was the words they had spoke.
"No!" I screamed as I stumbled and fell hard.
I knew that my life would be permanently scarred.

Getting up slowly, using the bed as a crutch,
I went to grab my phone, but it was cold to the touch.
Crying now, I couldn't believe what I had heard;
Trying to remember the words that were slurred.

"He said that he wanted you to have better friends-
It isn't your fault that his life came to an end."
I tried to believe him, but the effort, in vain.
My best friend was gone; now there's pain.

Hurting are my sides; tired were my eyes-
I never had cried so much, I realized.
It's truly over; I could believe it at all-
It all ended with A Phone Call.

Due to the poems that are not being taken .. I am going to move the deadlines to april 29.. because I wont be here tmw.. and will arrive back to be able to judge them.. sorry I wont be able to correct any rules, or revise my tiltes and the poet.. so try your best and share!! lol well I wish you guys best of luck and we'l see who is the winner for the friendship poems.. on april 29!! Good luck yall ..
