"Love is Blind"

Does anybody know, or at least have an idea, about what this quotation means? It always confuses me everytime I hear it, and so I'd like to hear your ideas. Any input at all would be appreciated.

And just to put this out there because I know that people like to bash other peoples' OPINIONS, don't be afraid to sound stupid if you have something to say about it, because, unlike myself, at least you have something :P

When you love someone blind, you can forgive everything, even their crimes. You accept and see something that maybe the rest of the world can't seem to understand. This can be good or bad, just like everything in life.

I thought it meant you loved people for who they were, instead of what they looked like.

I think it can be some times
When your in the first flushes of love, you're immune to the others flaws and only see why they're so great. You've blind to them.

As the love grows. you see their flaws yet you love them anyway. True love is when you can see.

When you are in love,you are blind to their faults and imperfections,like Bob said and many times you are blind to the fact of what their feelings are for you. seeing only what you want to see.

Yea really...and the fate is always be there to make sure you're wrong...i mean think about a guy/girl that she/he is so good but fate will show you his/her flaws...fate is everytime the correcter

No. Of course love is blind - because as soon as you start loving each other mutually, you have to trust each other fully - and on no foundations at all. That is why it is blind. It is very scary, as you will find out one day.
And I am in pain for it.

"Love is Blind" I guess means something different to everyone but I think that it means that when you love someone you tend not to see their faults and only see the good *like when you first fall in love and you can't see anything else* and when you've known and loved a person for a while yes you start seeing all their faults, but love is blind to them because you over look their faults and only see the good in them. Love is blind to age, race, sex, religion, skin color, or what the world sees as right because you can't control the human heart =)
I'll probably think of a better way to say all this later but this is what it means to me ^.^

I have listened to this before and I got the picture that love is blind because it doesnt matter about your problems because the ones who love you see you for who you are not what you look like

It is a very confusing quote when you just glance at it.. but look deeper and you'll find that you know exactly what it means. someone, i believe always can relate to it in some way.. someone you know and love can be a terrible person on the inside and you are completely oblivious to it.. but you always find out the truth.... then comes the quote "the truth will set you free"... it will set you free from all the negative things in your life as long as you accept that it did happen and you were blind to it.... "love is blind"

Love makes you see something deep inside that, most of the time, isn't even there. It makes you blind to the truth.

We are blind to love because we cannot see it, it is merely a thing that lives in this existance that ew have created. In life there is no feeling, no one is blind, our minds and what has been put onto us through life tells us what love and what feeling is.

Love is as blind to that person as they want it to be.
If you love someone deeply, know that person and love them for who there are. Being blind about it is going to get you hurt.

And age dont forget the age part Mr.Bob. When Love is blind they block out how old the other person is. *grins* man i have heard that line from so many guys when it comes to young young young girls that they "fall in love with"

To me it means what many of you have said before.

I dunno about love being blind...

It's a metaphore, really... Maybe it means that when you love someone, you tend to look past their lesser falts, seeing only the love which they possess for you...
Something like that.

But, I'm not sure, at this point, that I even believe in love.
It's just a word.
Nothing more.
