Child Abuse

Yesterday I was in another town going to give my aunt something and I passed under the interstate bridges to get to her house and I saw all these wind things, they go around in circles when the wind blows.

But they were set out to repersent EVERY SINGLE CASE of CHILD ABUSE we had in that town. There was over 2,500 wind things out atleast, not if more. But they repersented each case they had in that town. And the town is only like 15,000 people. But 2,500 cases in a 15,000 populated town? Holy Crappers! I just thought it was kinda cool how they did that to let everyone see on teh passing interstate and roads to see how bad Child Abuse is.

Do they do that in your town at all?

They don't do that here, but I think they should! Maybe that would open up some eyes, that's a neat idea, I like that. It's sad but it might open up some peoples eyes to it.

I agree. They should do it here too. I'm not really really close to alot of people but I know of a couple of people who have been abused. It's really upsetting and I think it's time that people stopped ignoring it and thinking that someone else will help them because most of the time, nobody does.

Wow you know I have done lots of things to bring light to child abuse, petitions, letter writing, news interviews, but I did not even think of this. It is a really good idea. Thanks so much for posting it.

Ha the town I live in is a small country place where everyone is related to everyone else and anything like that is quickly hushed up and buried. It makes me sick. It's nice to know, though, there are places out there who are willing to do something about it.

In France there's tons, and it really wouldn't suit my town because, well it's a shit hole. but it'd be a good idea, if it didn't cost millions to make them.

In new zealand the goverments trying to change the law so no smaking even on the butt is allowed to happen, btu there are protestors, saying that there their children and they should be allowed to do what they want to them if theyve been naughty or something.
i think it was a year ago, a new born baby was being 'naughty' cos it wouldnt stop crying so they hit it and then the baby died
but not all parents are f*****d in the head like them so yeah............yip

I've been smacked on the a-- before because I was really bad. My grandma would tell me what I did wrong before that and then shed smack me then sent me up to my room and told me to stay there so yeah lol. I meant if it was because the child did something bad but not bad enough to the point where they broke the law then it may be okay. Depends on the situation. but still hitting a child only hurts them more and it tells them that that is how they are suppose to act and do when someone does something wrong.

Once, haha. iwas at my friends house, when i was about 9, and he was being reallyyyyyy naughty, so his mum got the wooden spoon but the wooden spoon broke on his ass, and even though it hurt he kept on laughing, that really pisses me off, if they keep on laughing lol

    ^^ I'd be mad too.

I think I should atleast try to start something here in my town like that. But it just amazed me how many kids were abused.

They don't do anything like that in my town... at all. But it would be so awesome to have something like that... because they'd have one of those wind things up there for me.

They dont do that here in a big city. still i highly doubt anyone would care anymore than they do now. most ppl think its normal these days, sucks but its true. Im a past victim believe i know, went through all 3 types of it.

They don't do that here, but in Charlotte, which is like 45mins from where I am they usually dedicate a wall for flyers. (last time I checked)

I think that every town should do it, especially big ones, even if people 'may not care' they are atleast aware of how many people are bing abused and at least try to stop the abuse.

I agree that more should be done on child abuse. I have a lot poems I do on child abuse. Now I'm trying to get the child abuse centers, here in my town to work with me to help and stop as much as we can. I lived in it for 10 years of living hell and no child should have to deal with that.

No..but they do have white crosses in an open area to represent how many abortions are performed everyday in America...I don't know how many are out there but there's a lot..It brings tears to my eyes every time I see it.....sigh...

What would help more than anything , is if everyone knew what they were looking for, to help a child. You need to know the signs a child gives out in a cry for help.
Since I started writing on here 2 weeks ago, I have had 7 different cases of abuse brought to my attention, never said anything to anyone before now. Come on people all it takes is a little help. thanks

IF WE ALL try to atleast help out on this we can be remembered and probably go down in history too. We can be thanked for saving the kids who think they have no hope for help. I wanna change abuse and stop it too Tracy.

I'm not against abortions ,if and I said if, it's for a very good reason such as rape. But for those that just want to have some fun and get carried away, there's no excuse for it, should be made to take care of it. Kids aren't ask to brought into this world, but once there here they deserve to be taken care of better than they are.

    sorry very touchy subject

I don't think all child abuse is physical...a lot is emotional...Untill I was about 10..I didn't realize what I had been through..I was questioned by counslers at school all of the time and we had several DCFS cases opened...I never let them know anything was wrong...Although now I wish I had...Not all child abuse is "clear"..Or at least "provable"..

I totally agree with you. But there are a lot of cases that don't heard and the kids do get hurt, no matter what kind of abuse it is, it's still abuse. I suffered some of the most horrible days of my life, at age 7 I wanted to jump in front of a big truck and kill myself. Thats not the way a child is suppose to act, and no one wanted to listen . So now I get to talk and people do listen ,so it might help the kid down the street. Who knows, I been on here little over two weeks and so far I have helped 7 people. thats reward enough for me.Thats what life is about helping other people. thanks for listening ,,tracy

I agree with you 100%...If it takes a thousand people to help one child I think all the effort is worth it...But we live in a society where people tend to "mind their own business"...Me personally..I call the cops if I hear my neighbor cursing at a younge child...just in case there's more to the story.. And I also believe that there are a lot of cities that don't treat it as critically...Does anyone remember the "Cody Posey" trial?? He murdered his dad, stepmom, and stepsister when he was 14.. He claimed he was abused..There was several reports filed but when the case worker would show up they would never take the boy far enough away from his dad so that his dad couldn't hear the conversation...Maybe if he/she had his family would be alive right now...Of coarse the judge ordered him to be tried as a juvie so he will be free at the age of 21...
Anyways..you get the point I am trying to make..

Yes I know what you are talking about ,but I have a promise to keep to myself, that won't let same thing happen to some other kid that happen to me. What i went through wasn't human at times, and I hate the thought of wanting to die ,even though I am, but that another story ,point is ,that I do have child abuse centers backing me on this ,and I'm going to push like hell to do what ever I can to stop it. By the way , if you get a chance check out the poem i wrote MY LIFE (CHILD ABUSE) IT'S ALL REAL,,, and you'll know what I'm talking about, you don't have to vote please, just a comment on it,,, thank you,,,,,tracy

Here In Utah is is done.....but the number grows each year and one must remember that those are only the reported cases. But alot of good those red signs do for the victims....sure more people know but by then the damage is already done. And just because they doesn't mean they can help.....

I'm working on getting some 800 numbers put on my website, with my poems for people to call that need help with this child abuse thing ,doing everything I can to get all the help that people need. I was amazed at the people that talked to me after they read my poems on child abuse, so many here are being abused. Going unnoticed and no one knows about it. It's so sad to think that a child has to go through such, makes me sick, well if anyone needs help let me know.............thanks
