Should i feel guilty?

It's almost a week and i can't get over this feeling of guilt. you see a friend of mine was having a party and as the night went on i hooked up with this 20 year old( no worries we just made-out, nothing too serious) anyway, after we were done i find out from his cousin that he already has a girlfriend who's pregnant. i couldn't believe it. i had no idea he was already involved when i hooked up with him and his cousin knew that he was like " you shouldnt feel bad you had no way of knowing" and yet i can't help but feel horrible. if i knew all that before hand i never would have gone through with it. i just don't know if im beating myself up too much..and if i am how do i stop feeling so guilty?

Well, if it's not your fault, then it's his. You have to realize that you could have done nothing to understand what was happening besides run a background check in 30 seconds. Which, I remind you, is impossible.

Don't let it eat you. You just have to realize that things happen, and when bad things happen, it's not the end of the world.

You shouldn't even need to come in here and ask this question..as you stated..you had no idea he was already involved when you hooked up with him. You ARE beating yourself up too much, if anyone should feel horrible, it should be him and I do pity his girlfriend who is pregnant and has a cheating boyfriend to father her baby..what a shame.

Making out with someone i don't know was a stupid thing to do on my part, that i can agree with, and not asking before hand if he was involved. i just assumed he wasn't, however that's really no excuse for the mistake i made. and yeah i know i had no way of knowing he was with someone else, but at the same time i can't help but feel horrible about what i did.

Well..it just shows that you are a good person! Feeling guilty is normal...just know that you're not in the wrong..this guy was..I would suggest talking the his girl..But you probably shouldn't since she's preg. and stress isn't good for the baby...Humm...stuff situation..hopefully someone on here has been through something similar and give you good advice.

Well it's not your fault that you did it, i think you should kick his ass just for the hell of not telling you, but that's just my opinion.

You Shouldnt even have hooked up with someone that u dont know anything about.. What if he had a STD or something.. Like Herpes! Not cool!

Sad, I can see where you are going feeling guilty. But, honestly you shouldnt feel guilty at all.. because it wasnt your fault at all! That was pretty stupid of him though. Well, the past is the past, and you cant really change anything that happened, you can change your future though.
