Love or Lust?

How do know if you feel love for someone instead of lust?
I feel strongly towards a guy, but how do I know it's love and not lust?
This is starting to bother me..Do you have an imput?

Lust is a desire that makes you want that person. Love is when you would do anything for that person and wish to be by their side even when you're mad at them. Love is going beyond looks and personality. Love is when you would actually consider dying for that person if necessary.

If you dont know... its lust. You will deff. know if it is love or not. Most people take the mistake and think its love when its really not. So its lust till your truely sure its love....

Yep, you're a lusty gal...no doubt about it.

And yes, it is totally possible to love someone that doesn't love you back. Love isn't really controlled by anything, so it can really mix up many social situations.

My best friend and I both fell in love with the same girl at the same time 3 years ago - she loved and still loves me, she never loved him any more than as a friend.

And I think its impossible to tell someone whether they're in love or not or in lust or not. Yet at the same time, I think love is something so deep, so strong, so true that a rare amount of people actually do feel in love. just an opinion though.

Ha, Guiding Light, I'm glad you said something about that, because I was just going to. I think "infatuation" could be substituted for "lust" in many cases. Just because you feel strongly for someone, but don't know if you love them yet, it doesn't mean you simply feel for them in sexually desirous way.

Well, if you're in love with someone, you also have that lust feeling. But love is something that you feel when you're with the person. Not what you wnt to do with him but what you feel FOR them. Like the smell of their skin makes you weak, the way he makes you smile, the way he says how much you man to him. Lust is mainly like i want you, I want you to me (or in me).
^^No..love is something that TWO people share amonst each other. Not just one. If one feels it, it's not love. If the other doesn't love you. You're not in love, you don't feel love. You THINK you do. You will only find out if you ever end up with that person. But if you never end up with them...you don't love him. You're just in a very in like state of feeling for them. I can't stand when my friend say they love someone when the other person doesn't give a damn about htem. Ugh. Ignorant friends of mine. (not calling any of you ignorant my friends are just pathetic)

^^There's a fine line between loving someone and BEING in love...and I mean yeah a lot of the time teenagers get carried away with the idea of love, but who are you to tell someone they're pathetic and not in love?

Lust is different then infatuation....but thats not what this post is about. Think about why you do the things you do in your relationship. Is it for you or them? If your actions are to benifit you then its lust. If they are to benifit them then its love. Lust is selfish and love is selfless.
