Yep. I get them around my place all of the time in the summer. Hahaha. I find it funny that someone didn't know this - but then again, it all depends on where you're from....maybe you have flying centipedes where you are. If that is true, then I pity you, centipedes are the only bugs that actually scare me. Blah.

Maybe they're onyl in Canada? I dunno?!?

Never heard of a locust...is that something you learn in school?? Cuz if it is, then I've been out of school for too long lol.

No, I learned it on the discovery channel.

Locusts are HUGE grasshopper things that fly in what people call "plagues" (you know, a flock of geese, a school of fish, a plague of locusts.)

They eat everything in site....they are insane and can cause many problems with people. (they eat vegetation and such, so if they come across crops, they'll eat 'em all.) They're crazy.

I HATE flying ants. They get into your hair and buzz. Then their wings fall out and they just die. What exactly is the point to them?

  • Fluffy

    Indeed.

  • Jordan

I don't REALLY know, but I think flying ants are designed to move and spread ant-colonies....don't quote me on that, though.

I'm not sure why they exist. It's like Christmas Beetles (Not too sure what they're called around the world), they come out after the rains, fly around, bug the living CR@P out of people, and then die. I really find nature intriguing and fascinating...
