    First Rhyming poem:

    Falling Out of Love

    When I met you, I thought you were,
    Already quite strange;
    I stared as we were introduced,
    And learned what was your name.

    You said we had the same math class,
    About a year ago;
    I didn't even realize,
    That you remembered so.

    For three minutes into it,
    I began to notice, too;
    You became a new found friend,
    As I was to you.

    Two months later, guess what happened?
    The classroom had changed seats;
    I sat at the last table,
    And you were next to me.

    We talked, we laughed, we shared,
    Such stories of our past;
    I remember those sweet memories,
    If only they could last.

    We soon became close friends,
    And I never had a clue,
    I would fall for another one,
    And sadly, it was you.

    You always looked me in the eye,
    And I met your gaze,
    Except, last week, I stared at you,
    Only to look away.

    I remember how I missed you,
    How I tried so hard to hide,
    The feelings that I felt for you,
    Deep down on the inside.

    When you found out, I panicked,
    My mind felt so scared,
    I didn't see you as my friend,
    And I wasn't always there.

    I treated you like any guy,
    Until two weeks ago.
    I started waving, smiling, too;
    For you'd already know.

    If only I had done something,
    That I wouldn't regret;
    I lost someone so dear to me,
    One of my favorite friends.

    I'm sorry that I fell for you,
    It's funny how it happens;
    I want to have you here again,
    The both of us still laughing.

    What must I do to lose this pain,
    Besides try to get over...?
    I'll do what it takes to have you here,
    As my fears take cover.

    Please take me back, not as some girl,
    Take me back as your friend;
    I'll make it right this time around,
    And then my heart may mend.

    Unrhyming poem:
    Confusion in Silence
    by SingingInTheRain

    I feel my cheeks from long ago,
    The blush no longer being there,
    My body shaking,
    Standing, barely breathing,
    Thinking.

    Blood rushing to my head,
    Pulsating to a heavy rhythm,
    Beating, stumbling,
    Pouding, drumming,
    So loud.

    I want to fall,
    On the ground, in the air,
    Disappear today,
    I want to run away,
    From you.

    I see you, time freezes,
    Slows as you stare,
    With the coldest gaze,
    I begin to faze,
    Blinking.

    As if we never knew each other,
    As if we were never friends,
    We're just strangers,
    Talking to our friends, like nothing ever,
    Happened.

    All you are is a movie clip,
    That runs through my head,
    All I am is some crazy girl,
    That lives in the same world,
    As you.

    You don't hate me,
    I don't hate you,
    We never do talk,
    Together won't walk;
    We're lost.

    Lost from each other,
    You ignore my calls,
    I annoy you so much,
    Because of this crush;
    Sorry.

    I want to erase what has happened,
    Leave it all behind,
    I want to move on,
    But something is wrong,
    With this.

    I smile, you ignore,
    I speak, you won't look,
    You gaze, I turn,
    Need some ice for that burn?
    Screw you.

    I try to be happy, forget you,
    Smile, forget troubles,
    But when something reminds me,
    Of what used to be,
    I'm sad.

    I hate sensing your prescence,
    You're always in view.
    No matter what I do,
    I can't seem to hate you,
    Damnit.

    My Fave Poem I have written:

    _

    A Thousand Things Went Right Today

    _

    A thousand things went right today
    So much more than the wrong
    I woke up to a new day, tied my shoes
    And sang my favorite song

    A thousand things went right today
    My friends were all alive
    Once again, they greeted me
    With a simple, caring, "Hi"

    I wasn't scared to flash a smile
    My locker opened right
    My homework was completed
    I didn't get into a fight

    A thousand things went right today
    I was noticed by my crush
    I woke up breathing right today
    And I didn't miss the bus

    My hair was brushed and combed again
    I could see with my eyes
    I could hear and smell and think
    I could tell dark from light

    A thousand things went right today
    The sun came up again
    When night came, the moon shone oh-so-bright
    And I didn't play pretend

    The teacher said I over-achieved
    I felt pleased with myself
    I figured out how to draw a wink
    I put a book up on the shelf

    A thousand things went right today
    I had a day more of life
    I understood the math lesson
    Today, I didn't cry

    A thousand things went right today
    I could tell left from right
    Today, I gave good advice
    In every hour, I smiled

    A thousand things went right today,
    and I know they will tomorrow
    Some other things won't be the same
    But I'll get over my sorrow

    Every day has some complications
    To make the good seem bad
    Tomorrow, look on the bright side
    Instead of on the sad

    A thousand things will go right for you
    A couple wrongs will, too
    Although you may trip and stumble
    Your mistakes are just a few

    Try to focus on the good things
    Forget about the bad
    Because, my friend, the joy in life
    Will conquer all that's sad

    Payne Drewelow! You are the winner! Congratulations! Your prize will be 10 comments and votes of your choice!

    as for SingingInTheRain...your poems were very good as well...but you did cuss in your non-rhyming, as well as rhyme in it more than once. So it didn't follow all of the guidelines. But I must admit, your poem A Thousand Things...is soooo good! I was truly in love with it. So congrats on making it thus far and I would like to give you 3 comments and votes!
