Most of us have favorite movies that we can watch over and over again, some inspire us, others make us laugh, some just take us away. What is your favorite movie? Write me a poem about it.

It won't be on my absolute favorite movie because I doubt I can write a poem on Grease, but I can try haha, if not it will be one of my other favorites. =)

Reserve Please, I'm doing The Shawshank Redemption

The Shawshank Redemption

charged for a crime he didnt commit
This banker was quick to get the flick
into Shawshank prison he went
charged for murder, guilty he wasn't

quiet were his first few years
kept to himself and stayed well clear
observing people before he drew near
than he apprached a man called Red

Red was the guy that can get you the stuff
wether cigarettes or tools or a poster of a movie star
Red pointed out the 'sisters'
who were falling fond of Andy

so Andy had to fight them off
time and time again
the sisters would come after him
to fulfill what they call needs

A new guy came to Shawshank prison
with stories of his past conquests
soon enough it all fit in
that this new guy Tom had heard Andy's story

Tom knew what really happened that night
he knew exactly who the murderer was
so he went to the warden as soon as he knew
to try and set everything straight again

so Tom was now a witness
but the warden wouldn't give
he shot Tom late one night
so Andy had to stay

some 30 odd years later
Andy managed to escape
he changed his name and details
He became someone that doesn't exist.

so Shawshank was never meant for him
but they still threw him in
he put up with beatings and sexual abuse
because his wife had had an affair

the story is an inspiring one
to see him free in the end
the journey he has had to face
is the biggest one I've seen

from so many different points of views
they show how differently people see things
we can all underestimate lifes value
But Andy Dufrane, never will again.

*The sisters are a group of guys inside the prison who were constantly trying to rape Andy. The warden doesn't want Andy out of prison because Andy was doing all of his tax returns and accounts stuff because he was a banker before he went in and thats why he shot the witness, Tom. it really is the best movie i have ever seen, its been my favourite movie for 4 years now.'

I'll do one, but I won't have it until the end of the week.. probably. I'm going away, I'll write in on vacation. :D

The Titanic Story

She was a rich girl, he was not even close.
But when he met her, he found what he needed most.
They began a romance, after he saved her from hell.
Now their story is famous and its the one Im gonna tell.

She was very wealthy, had everything you could dream.
But something in her life, was missing it seemed.
That something was someone, her prince so sweet.
When she tried to leave the world, is when they did meet.

Now he was a poor man, but with a heart of gold.
He saved the young lady, this story never gets old.
He fell in love with her, love at first sight I would say.
But little did they know what would happen in a few days.

They went behind backs, just to be with each other.
She was engaged, but didnt love the other.
All she really needed was the man she truly adored.
He was all she loved, needed and cared for.

Her mother wanted different; wanted her daughter to have the best.
But her daughter knew the truth; he was better than the rest.
She loved him more than anything, in the whole world.
She was a 'lady', but with him she was a girl.

Then one late night, after making love, they kissed on the deck.
And just after that, half the ship was a wreck.
An ice berg had hit the ship and water was pouring in.
A hectic few hours for thousands of people, was about to begin.

He was then accused of stealing and put in a cell below.
She didnt understand and she didnt know what to do.
But she soon realized the truth, and it was her turn to save him.
They had to get above board, before all the lights went dim.

The boats started lowering, all the woman and children got inside.
But she just could not leave him, without him she'd rather die.
They outran the jealous fiance, who tried to shoot them with his gun.
They were getting short of breathe, but they had to run.

They ran up on deck, the ship had already started to sink.
Everyone was so scared; they didnt know what to think.
People were jumping; they were so scared for their lives.
But the people, who jumped, just didnt survive.

The ship rose higher and higher, until straight in the air.
Half of the people were gone, half were still there.
They both held on so tight, they were right up at the top.
Right before their eyes, people let go, some just dropped.

The ship began to sink; there was nothing they could do.
So he said dont let go of my hand, we will make it through.
The ship went under the sea, but they both came up alive.
The worst part was over, but the rest they had to survive.

He found a stranded door, and placed her on it away from the ice.
He loved her so much that for her his life he sacrificed.
She saw a boat, and tried to wake him from his sleep.
She realized he was gone and let him sink into the sea.

She blew a whistle with all her might and they heard her call for help.
She was saved, but her heart died, with all the pain it felt.
She had lost the person she wanted forever, the one sent from above.
He died in that ocean, so that she could live, thats what I call true love.

Note: The movie I chose is The Mummy. This is the scene when High Priest Imhotep tries to bring Anck Su Nanum back to life, but Rick and Jonathon burst in to save Evelyn.

"Kagame" and "Imunestna" are both 'words' used in that scene meaning "Kill them" and "Destroy them".

Glass House: The Good Mother.

Cheapish grins across their face,
She knows somethings not right.
But, a family is needed as of now
the others died once upon a night.

A huge house on top of a hill,
beauty outside, barren inside.
Illness overcomes a little one,
and, oh so loud he once cried.

Fears are building up, secrets being kept.
She is locked inside that cold basement.
With poisoned food being tossed to her
from the witch to the cold, hard cement.

Her brothers getting worse,
there is nothing she can do.
The only one than can save her,
is the man who got them trough.

Visits upon visits, no one's ever home.
Excuses, he knows somethings wrong.
Finally he waits, outside of that house..
it just so happens, he doesn't wait long.

Once again she tries to escape.
with the little one in her hands.
She does not care who will see,
for she needs to leave this land.

A bullet through her chest,
by her one and only lover.
They've escaped to freedom
From that glass house and
The good mother.

Tombstone
(Fight at the O.K. Corral)

They saddle up their horses and head into town,
Staring straight ahead as town folk gather round,

Sun Squinted eyes shelter out the stares,
No-one makes a sound, no-one even dares,

Come four and twenty yards and at the strike of noon
In the streets of Tombstone, just outside the saloon

Justice is in town and there will be hell to pay
Brothers to the bone, come whatever may,

The hat upon their heads drenched in their sweat
They came here for order not an empty threat

Looking eye to eye, the calm before the storm
Lay down the law that the cowboys won't conform

Cocked and loaded weapons lay upon their side
Peacemakers ready to make a widow of a bride

Thirty shots and thirty seconds is all time will allow
Thick gun-smoke and dust is all that lingers now

Dusters, boots, and spurs and silence even still
Foolish pride fought the law, is now buried in Boothill
