I'm watching strangers passing by,
They can't see me stare,
Trapped inside my shaded world,
Hoping one does care.

Step on, step up and get ahead,
That's what's wrong today,
Why no one feels like they belong,
Why nothing seems okay.

Not all are so exclusive,
The truth is seen by some,
Just where it is we came from,
And what we have become.

Nations pointing fingers,
People placing blame,
Eventhough we're slowly dying,
We feel no hint of shame.

Each one stands as right,
Judging all they see,
I feel like I must disappear,

Breaking the habit

As he moves onwards,
You lift up your dress,
You close your eyes
And pretend you're not a mess.

The make up that runs
Down those injected cheeks,
Is the only symbol,
Symbol that you're weak.

Paint yourself a masterpiece,
Paint it onto your face,
Oh we're a nation of actors,
Acting as the human race.

You can hear that he's breathing,
You just choose to ignore,
But that doesn't matter,
He's still wanting more.

And you snap out the influence,
Snap out the cure
You're breaking the habit,
But you're not sure who for.

not the best ive wrote, but i couldn't find anything to fit better, bit of a block.

You pushed her around, bruised and broke her,
She hits the ground, looks up with tears in her eyes,
And her past, she drinks it away, it's a blur,
Overloaded with your fake apologies and pathetic lies.

"Do you feel like a man?" She asks, face in the dirt,
Shaking and torn from all that you have done,
But she'll never admit to you that it actually hurts,
When you beat her in front of her little son.

And he hides under the table, watches from covered eyes -
His parents scream and fight, blood splatters on the ground,
And she hits the floor, screaming about your lies,
She knows where you've been from the evidence she's found.

But standing tall, shaking the dirt to the floor,
She swears you off, she won't take anymore,
And face down in the dirt, she turned and said:
"Hit the floor, and you'll see what it is I dread."

In The End

Stars crawl on black skin,
The desert's life unknown,
Clouds start to form,
In this hate I have grown,

Rain starts to fall,
Each hiding my own storm,
My knees hit the ground,
And madness starts to form,

Strength pulls me to my feet,
But only takes me so far,
The rain now like needles,
And this pain I know will scar,

I push through the years,
After each I start to crawl,
My mentality at stake,
But it doesn't matter at all,

You push me to the ground,
Your hands cold as heart,
Blood flys escaping free,
And my rage will finally start,

I punish you for all of this,
The life you stole from me,
Drenching me in all regret,
But now I am to see,

For all the times I was scared,
For every stupid mistake,
Thirsting for my every tear,
But this time you will break.

Wow, you guys are good! great job! so... yea, i just broke my arm on tuesday... so that could mean i'll either stop going on here for a while, or i won't be able to get off... just letting you guys know... because there MIGHT be a little more time to get your poems in... k?

One Step Closer

I woke up this morning
And crawled out of bed
I just had a feeling
That this was going to be
One long day

"Breathe," I commanded myself
Sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic
"This is just one step closer
To the end of the day"

I got to work late
And my boss was in a bad mood
Needless to say
I got the lecture
Of a lifetime

"Breathe," I commanded myself
Sitting with piles of work
"This is just one step closer
To the end of the day"

Finally it was time
To shut off my computer
And get ready
For the long, traffic-congested
Drive home

"Smile," my co-worker said
"This is just one step closer
To the end of the day"

Nobody's Listening

Hearing the horrible sound of raindrops,
Hitting to the window,breaking the silence.
Being quiet will be my biggest violence;
Because nobody is listening to me.

In a room that is usually called a class,
A woman acts like we're just an idiot.
My words would absolutely be my riot;
Because nobody's listened to me.

Memories are still itching my mentally broken soul,
My superstition mind told me bad things would happen.
But nobody thought that things would be that sudden;
Because nobody had listened to me.

Still reminding that moment like it was only yesterday,
People yells 'Earthquake' like it's a goodbye to all the losers.
Didn't help people from burying to ground with structures;
Because they didn't even listen to me.

Sorry I am going to have to unreserve.

Runaway.

Ugly, stupid, afraid of face,
Terrified; her life is the race.
Shes coming first, this is her day,
Death will catch her in her runaway.

A young beautiful girl, far away,
Golden blond hair, cries all day.
But she has the soul of an angel,
Her body's spirit however is nothing but fragile.

Sits on her own at school nibbling food,
Smiles at the teachers as not t be rude,
Strolls past them nervously; The girls room,
Pencil down her throat, full of gloom.

Why does she do it? she runs away,
From reality, truth she cant face.
The most beautiful smile, all girl envy,
Not having the first idea of what she does privately.

Relating to this girl, no matter how.
Means you have felt this in the past or now.
Why don't you see, your extremely amazing,
We all are beautiful is the point that I'm raising.

Brown, blond, red, or black hair.
It shows the real you so please do not care.
Anorexic, bulimic, tall r small,
Thank god he made you who you are.

Get up and dance, feel the beat...
Music and heart, make your ends meet.
Punk, Gothic, prep or Emo,
Be who you want ignoring the feeble.

Don't ever runaway, from those who are weak,
Stand up and smile for the words that you speak.

The wrong seems right in this messed up, f'd up world of sorrow.

You're more perfect than you think and I'm here to stop that doubt.

Omgosh I forgot that I entered in this one BUT I got a poem done for this one!!

Here it is.

I erase your name,
And those thousands of little hearts,
From my notebook.
But it's so many pages,
So many memories to keep erasing.
Your face keeps appearing,
And your name aches in my heart.
Every slow beat in a slow song,
Beats back ever second that I felt safe.
Every honk of a car,
Makes me remember back when,
You just didn't want to say good-bye.
I envy every couple I see,
Because they're feeling what,
I always wanted the most.
And I hate her the most,
Because she's hugging away,
The days of what I enjoyed the most.
They say to forget you,
But how can I,
When what made me most happy,
Is who I sacrificed almost everything too,
And how can I when,
You're still all I think about,
And all I'm living for.
Just watching you,
Rocking on the edge of my life,
With nothing left to pull you back.
What I've done was nothing,
But let you walk away.
