If Everyone Cared

Dear Mister President, I have some words to say.
Will you listen to me or turn your head away?
I'm nothing special, but I speak my mind.
And this is something that I have come to find.

If everyone cared, then no one would die.
Did you ever stop and think about why?
People are killing and people are crying;
All because some people are lying.

If everyone cared, would we still be fighting?
If we cared, then I wouldn't be writing.
Stop the war; get our forces home.
We can't deal with being alone.

Men torn from families; women left alone.
They're being hardened by each bomb thrown.
Help our families, please bring them back.
Stop the fighting and the attacks.

Don't you see that if everyone cared,
No one would lie; no one would dare.
Hurtful words would never be spoken;
Leaving people with hearts, broken.

If everyone cared, no one would be dead.
We wouldn't have to worry; we wouldn't have to dread.
All the stories on the news, filled with scary sorrows.
All the women and the men, scared about tomorrow.

Dear Mister President, Please lend me a moment or two.
I know that you have the time to stop what we go through.
Look at our lives; we are all living scared.
It would be different, If Everyone Cared.

The sun did shine,
Birds did sing,
Love was there,
And bells did ring,

Months went by,
And coldness came,
Ice filled his heart,
Never to the same,

He'd kiss and tell,
He'd lie and cheat,

He'd only deceit,

He killed me off,
My heart did too,

+ This is a true story about how my ex-boyfriend cheated and ripped me apart for 6 months. Then my best friend dated him only 3 days after we broke up. A year later I still haven't gotten over it. This didn't work out as a poem how I hoped because its more emotionally based. +

Hurting emotionally for so long
Trying my hardest not to fail
Crying silent tears each night
Recalling bitter betrayal.

Many different ways of coping
Each more damaging than the last
Sad smile fixed upon thes lips
Thinking of memories past.

Each single day arrived
Thought I'd never recover
So overcome with pan
Feeling I would smother.

Every single second
Bringing untold pain
Crazy thoughts in my head
Wonderin if I'd gone insane.

Then you came along
Helped me see the light
Making me finally realize
My future could be so bright.

Took me in your arms
Whispered it'd be okay
Made my pain dissappear
Problems seemed to float away.

This started out as a poem, but as i was writing it, it turned into a song. so here you go!

im not like those other g*rls
making out by the lake
i may not be pretty
but im not that fake
im so much more on the inside
That's what you should see
Not what's on the outside
but what's inside of me

Lies and rumors

London Bridge Please

Could I try Kryptonite please?

Um...it's not exactly about dying coz the character doesn't die, and um....it's more a figure of speech...so yeah I hope its ok. And um...I put a * on one stanza because it's one of my old quotes which seemed to fit in to this poem....so I used it. I hope thats ok too:P...well...k so here's my poem

Kryptonite by Run Out Of Words.

It's sweet that you consider me,
your very own super man.
But through the cracks I'm starting to see,
that super man can't stand.

Super man can't stand on his own two feet,
which is why he resorts to flying.
And when he's alone with no tragedy to meet,
he sits in his room crying.

Too many expectations,
hopes and dreams.
I've got so many obligations,
and yet no one hears my screams.

Who will come to save me?
Is there any such man?
Is there any such being,
Who is strong enough to save super man?

I'm faltering now oh dearest,
and I can't see the light.
To pain I have come nearest,
and no one to save me in sight.

What happend to all those years,
those years of helping you.
Wiping away all those tears,
and now there's nothing you can do?

*I admit I'm not some super hero,
and I can't fly off towers.
I can't mend this broken heart,

I look at him,
and all I see,
is him with her,
instead of me,
what was it he needed,
what is it she had?
What did I do,
am I really that bad,
he didn't have to cheat,
did I hurt him in some way?
Why was it he stayed with her,
on my now saddest day?
Why did he do it?
he will not tell me,
does he know how much it hurt,
please tell me does he see,
how he lied to me about her,
and ripped out my heart,
we now have a son,
and it still tears me apart,
I just need a reason,
but not an excuse,
I know that he did it,
he told me the truth,
he lied when he was awake,
but told in his sleep,
even though he hurt me,

Bryan

Tis moonlight that dances upon her face,
sends chills up my back, i stare in her eyes,
they enchant my heart in this horrid place,
lost in this moment, my heart slowly cries.

Toxic is her touch, she touches my skin,
lips upon my face, making my heart leap,
her beautiful love that i hope to win,
takes all that i have for me not to weep.

Happy I'm becoming, took me so long,
still i write sonnets to my broken heart,
I'm tired of playing the same old love songs,
making me sad while tearing me apart.

In a Fields of Innocence, i will wait,
hoping she will come, always filled with hate.
