Computer question

I know this is a poetry site but i just thought i would ask you good people if you could help. i have a compaq laptop which i leant to my niece to do her homework on. problem is she has foregotten her windows password and now we cant get into the damned thing. it is running xp. is there a way round the password or am i basically screwed. help appreciated.

Well, if your an admin. you cna just go and delete it... uinless she is too

You see i had just formatted the drive and reloaded xp when i gave her it. there was no passwords on it at all. she has put herself as admin, set a password, didnt bother to make it something memorable, wrote it on a scrap of paper then left the paper in her jeans and put them through the wash. kids eh! maybe ill just take it to pc world lol.
