Ok welldone all who won on my last contest.

Now here comes the nitty gritty lol

TWO titles you can pick either so it dont matter if you all do the same.....

Im going to try and pick unusual titles to make it a little more difficult. The two most original will be in a poem-off lol kind of freestyle ill talk about that later....

Sunrise To Sunset

Everyday I try my best,
To walk a steady road,
To lift my head up to the sun,
While carrying my load.

I feel the breeze across my skin,
Thankful I'm alive,
Pain does hurt, but that's okay,
I know I will survive.

For each scar upon my soul,
I write of beauty found,
Within this world, inside my mind,
Both intriguing and profound.

There's nothing that I would not do,
Sunrise to sunset,
To make myself a better person,
And live without regret.

Soaking in the warmth of nature,
Basking in its grace,
Time shall take away my hurt,
And leave behind no trace.

Dont worry there is no reserve you can do either or it doesnt matter :D

You're The Voice

The rain fell against the window, pouring with grace,
And she had that old white phone pressed to her ear,
Crying, she whispered into it with tears on her face,
Listening for the three words that she longed to hear.

And he took a blanket out to that old rocking chair,
Muttering under his breath about all of her lies -
But she's listening to a comforting voice in despair,
Wiping the sapphire tears from her sky blue eyes.

"Honey, you either got to stay or you go to go,
No one can make this final decision for you,
But as much as it hurts me, this I want you to know,
You're the voice that keeps getting me through -

You're whispering because he doesn't know -
That you're sitting there talking to me too,
And I bet you're going to deny this, but even so;
I know you're holding that old picture of me and you."

She was silent for a moment, couldn't find words to say,
Her heart was beating inside her chest at a rapid pace,
And a tear ran down as he sighed: "I remember that day,
You wore that little black dress, no make-up on your face -

We were only seventeen, maybe we were naive, but still -
That little pond with cattails growing near the sand,
Do you remember this? We sat up on the old green hill,
That's the day I showed you that golden wedding band.

You said you weren't ready, you needed some time to think,
So I waited to hear from you, it took you almost two years,
And now I sit here, listening to you and having a drink,
But Babe, these smiles aren't as real as they appear.

My friends used to call you the 'old runner' but I knew -
One day you'd come back to me, with arms wide open,
But I can't continue to sit here listening to stories from you,
And pretending I don't still feel the same, just hoping -

That maybe one day, maybe tonight - you'll catch your voice,
Say those three words I long to hear too, to make things right -
I can't sit here and tell you what to do, it is your choice,
Just remember how you felt that night when I held you tight."

And she fell to her knees when she heard that click,
Knowing in her heart he just wanted to hear her say -
What she'd always wanted to say, to make her pick
And she cried: "You're the voice I want to hear everyday."

You're the singing in my heart [it's called detest],
You're the reason my feet still walk; [they got wet],
You're the reason I couldn't sleep [I lost rest].
There's a new voice inside my head [so do not fret];
There's a new melody [that's for the best].
You are not the only voice inside my head,
For my love for you is mute and dead.

A Ottava Rima is a poem written in 8-line octives. Each line is of a 10 or 11 syllable count in
the following rhyme:

Sunrise to sunset

I know i might be weak,
falling at the lap of waves touching my feet,
but even the small can stand up tall,
we don't always fall.

I know i might be blind,
i cannot see the colors but they play across my mind,
yet somehow, even as i cry the dust of tears,
even the sun can burn away fears.

I know i might be alone,
when all the others die, my star will still have shone,
but i can still feel the push of the crowd,
the screaming in my ears still so loud.

I know i might be in the dark,
can't find the way, though i can hear the larks,
but even at night some can see,
maybe one day that might be me.

I know i might be dead,
because i hear the voices in my head,
yet even a corpse can walk again,
can find it's way to heaven.

I know sometimes i cry,
because compared to living, it seems so easy to die,
but somehow i will find a way to be strong,
instead of being quiet, everyone will hear my song.

and I know i might be weak,
falling at the lap of waves at my feet,
but if you could just help me up, just once, hand in hand,
i know once more, i will be brave, when i can stand.

I know i can be right,
so please just hold me tight tonight,
afterwards the memories of me you can forget,
but please just help me now, from sunrise till sunset.

((Sorry it took so long, had severe writers block when i was writing sunrise to sunset, so i switched titles lol...))

You're the Voice

Alone in my room
the shades pulled high,
waiting for the sunrise
to be rid of the night.

The empty bottles of wine
scatter the floor,
the consciousness once had
is not the same anymore.

Your voice no longer rings
in these ears of mine,
drank and drowned away
with these bottles of wine.

But in sweet time
your voice again will call,
but nothing will rid it,
no amount of alcohol.

And as the sun rises
I'll pull down the shades,
and drink your voice away
until it permanently fades.

Your voice slowly disappears
with every single drink,
your voice further in the distance
the volume begins to shrink.

And with that final drink
I'll no longer dread,
drinking away your voice
until its no longer in my head.

Hey sorry i took so long. Had a bit of a bad depression thingy thing lol. Yer just fixing my priorites has helped.

Okies so i read all your poems like a million times and i basically know them of the top of my head lol. So the final two are............
