Here is the final round of the Linkin park contest!!!!

Congratulations to all of the winners whom I will list in a minute or two.

This is the 3rd round meaning...the 3rd Linkin Park album will be used for titles

What I’ve Done

There I was, sitting there alone,
Talking to you all night long on the phone.
Dreaming of our future and what it would be,
Hearing you asking to marry me.

Taking it back. Breaking my heart.
These memories now keep replaying from the start.
I’m so sick of watching them over and over again,
For I know I can’t change what happened back then.

I’m not proud of what I’ve done in the past,
Wish I knew better so these memories I could surpass.
I know what’s done is done, but I wish it’d go away,
For my life now is controlled by what happened yesterday.

I know that I was wrong, but now I can be strong.
I was hurt too much, and what I did was wrong.
Getting even never solved a thing, it only made it worse,
Now these memories keep replaying as a curse.

Maybe someday the memories will grow haze,
Where I can move on, and finally feel the suns rays.
It’s been so long since I’ve felt like how I was before,
Maybe someone will pick my broken heart off the floor.

I can’t be proud of what I’ve done in the past,
If only I knew that these memories would forever last.
I know that it’s over. I know that they should go away,
But my life is being controlled…by yesterday.

Well I wrote one for Leave Out All The Rest and then reread the rules and noticed mine is way longer than 40 lines, so I will write a different one later...sorry for the hold up.

Hands Held High

She stands and stares to a distorted reflection,
Masked underneath a shiny plastic complexion,
And there are stories told in her baby blue eyes,
Hidden underneath all of her pathetic little lies.

And the words that they say get under her skin,
They're itching away at her, making her head spin,
But her crocodile tears stream down her face,
As she holds herself in the devil's tightened embrace.

Fashion magazines with pin-thin models line her walls,
Through this broken down dream, she tumbles and falls,
But the food touches her lips and she cringes to say:
"A moment on the lips, forever on the hips it will stay!"

And she befriends a girl named Ana, listens to every word said,
Lets the media brainwash her and get inside her spinning head,
With hands held high in the air, she falls down to her knees,
Pulling at her hair, she begs and she screams out: "Please!"

Ana's got her wrapped around her finger, she won't stop,
She'll do whatever it takes to make it to the top,
And those California girls with their skirts down low,
Are the ones she looks up to - blue eyes brightly aglow.

And she's got her hands held high above her head,
Listening to every word that precious Ana's ever said,
With tears in her eyes, she bows to another picture,
She'll get there one day if it means the death of her.

Poetess- great poem but not a winner sorry

Wasted Fake Smiles- again...great poem...im not sure if i said it somewhere on the 1st part of this contest or if it was old contest...but i like a storyline and you gave it to me but not the whole thing...the first stanza says how the person is missing the other then it goes straight to the person hating the other one with nothing in between...i think that was the only fault but otherwise great poem

Lush. Fcuk- and yet again how amaze me....im not even really sure of what to say...but the one thing i can say is congrats you won =D
