avril lavigne??

i just heard a knew song by her and i think its awesome ..ive always liked her ..i denno why ppl call her a poser ...if u dont no her PERSONALLY then u shouldnt judge her by what she wears or who shes hangs out with ...i mean u may argue about some of the comments shes made in interviews ..but eri one seys the wrong thing every now and then ..think how much stress that is ...well ne wayz juss wanted to kno ur opinion

i like avril. bought both of her cd's and i listen to them often. yeah, i don't think anyone should judge her like that. anyways, i think she's great.

WEll, I like her music persay, but I also think she is a poser. She is like:"Oh, I am SO hard rock!" and then she was up for Best Pop and the EMAs.

Avril was originally a country singer, but her image was revamped, and released her first single as a "punk-pop" record, equipt with skateboard and all (which she admitted to not being able to use).

She claimed that her sorry excuse for songs (you can't tell me she's a good lyricist) were written all by herself - however, her first album tells otherwise (the words "co-written" mean anything?)(I've only checked her debut album as of yet).

Now, realizing that the skate look isn't working quite so well, she's the new and improved "grown up Avril" (avaliable from mail order for only $29.95). A more suitible "girly" image, especially with marriage in the air, should do the trick for more listeners to "relate" to her.

Her song "nobody's Home" is simply perfect, such a beautiful song

I detest her music. With a passion. I don't know why. I used to like her stuff when she first started, and i even went to her concert but now... -shudders-. The only new song of hers i liked was Happy Ending, but i'm even over that now. I like the words to Nobody's Home, but hate her music.

i like admire avril. 'cuz she like writes all her songs. i went to her concert it was awesome. my voice we like sore cuz i was singing along w/ her and a couple of my friends. i don't see y ppl think she is a poser.

dude, shes pretty hot and her newer songs are really good. shes a good writer/singer in my eyes but people can think what they want thankfully.

I love Avril, shes one of my favorite singers. I love all of her music, and listen to her songs all the time. I so admire her. And when ever I can I try to go to her concerts, shes just great.

I'm just going to repeat this again. Here lyrics are CO-WRITTEN. I would never call her a good lyricist ayway. Do none of you remember Skater Boi? And nowadays, when she can't think of any gap fillers, she throws in a few "oo oo ohh"s.

Anyway, I can urge you to listen to her attempt of SOAD's Chop Suey. She really did murder it (and Im not just saying that because I detest her).

I have a question. Why is she so admired for writting lyrics anyway? You do realize that 1000s of bands write their own lyrics.

I agree with kara. Avril completely mutilated 'chop suey' which was a great song. Lets face it, her music is for little kiddies who always latch onto the latest craze and have absolutely no opinions of her own. Actually, thats innacurate. Most little kiddies have better musical taste then grown ups. And is it just me or can Avril not spell skater boy? Oh. Was that song title meant to be rebelious? She is not a rock star, she is a little pop princess.
