Flowing water
Walking on bare feet

Soft grasses
Star filled skies
Waking up in the morning sun

Pain filled eyes
As I realize

She's A Little Bit Lonely

"Are you lonely?" He turned her to ask.
"Aren't we all?" She softly replied.
"Perhaps it's true," He simply returned.
"We all are just a little bit lonely."

"Maybe if we blink," He started to think,
"The world will rush by and forget us."
She crossed her legs, and replied,
"What if we don't want to be forgotten?"
We're all just a little bit lonely.

He turned to her, "Maybe I do."
And she looked into his eyes,
"Why would you want that?
"It's such a scary thing..."
We're all just a little bit lonely.

"We all get a little scared,"
He gently said, glancing at the sky.
"Maybe we're all ready forgotten,
"In our own way." He said without a tremor.
We're all just a little bit lonely.

She glanced at him, her eyes wide,
"I'm not sure I would like that...
"Who wants to be forgotten?" She looked at him.
"I want to live in your heart forever."

Ain't what it use to be.

The further you run, the more tired I get.
I'm sick of chasing after you,
but you're like my vitamin D,
the mirror that I look into,
even my spinning toothbrush.
The daily uses, that's what you are.
Just not a use, but a cure,
for the broken soul that
ran too far.
But, you're taking it back.
Making it go further
than it's ever gone before.
You're running further away,
and it ain't what it use to be,
it's no longer all about you and me,
only about what we use to have.

One rule is changed, you can now do another one if you wish.

Walk a little straighter

The train leaves at four,
But I was never going to be there until half past,
And even if I run fast,
I never had the energy, let alone the desire,
To get there on time,
I'm too partial to these haunts of mine...

I swear it's the line
that's changing.
But maybe the wine
Is affecting my sense of vision,
I used to have such precision...

But now I walk with a swagger,
Though I pretend that I wasn't,
I was hurt by your metaphorical dagger.
And the sidewalk calls out my problems,
But I'm still saying I have none.

So I walk a little straighter,
Straight from side to side,
And I'm having trouble trying to decide,
Which route to take,
But I'm not in a hurry to repeat that mistake.

So I walk a little straighter,
And I breathe a little harder,
So we hail this heavenly creator,
And I don't need a translator,
To tell me what the signs say,
And in every way, they read,
Walk a little straighter,
That's all you need.
That's all you need, to succeed.
Something I never believed.

When He Gets Close to Me

The heat could warm me from a mile away
With each step towards, grew the flames
I prayed to stay wrapped in his arms,
Trapped in his heart, locked with his charms.

What I felt couldn't be explained
But seeing him with her...everything changed.
When he gets close to me, I'm cold as ice.
On the past, I don't even think twice.

What hurts is he didn't do anything wrong.
He was never mine. He didn't belong.
I have no true reason to hurt like I do.
Yet, that lacks the comfort to pull me through.

I want fireworks to burn in my soul
But when they do, they only leave holes.
I'm doomed to feel nothing in my heart.
'Cause when he gets close to me, I fall apart.

The tone of your voice still rings true
With each sporadic "I love you."
You know I do, but I still need time,

It took me awhile to understand my heart -
How it told me everything, right from the start.
How butterflies flittered and anticipation grew
With each passing minute I missed you.

You're so far away, it drives me insane!
But when I hear your voice, there's no more pain.

My tears are gone, blown away with the wind -
I stop worrying about the past that's been.

Espoir, Dear it isn't forgotten. I've just been busy with two jobs and then on my one day off a week I usually plan on doing them but then my friends will call lol. I'll get it done though, sorry for taking so long!
