What would you think?

My friend Chris took out a life insurance policy yesterday for $92,000. if he dies in an accident it is $184,000 and stays with him from job to job. He was telling me about it and he said that he had to leave the money to someone. I figured it would be Sahara, his girlfriend or his family...but i was wrong. He asked me that when he died for me to pay to bury him with the money and said i would be left well off afterwards, but in my opinion, no amount of money could buy a friend like that. There is something more that really bothers me about it though. Chris has a blood disease. I forgot what it is called. I can hardly remember what i ate last night much less a long science term. It is where when he does anything, it tires him out twice as bad. if he works 4 hours, it feels to him as though he has worked 8 and he has a job with 8 hour shifts... he has other things wrong with him too and what bothers me is that i think there is more that he isn't telling me. Mabye that is why he took out the policy. Am i just worrying too much? Another thing I don't understand is why he chose to put my name on the policy over anyone else. He said he doubts he and Sahara will be together much longer, so i can understand that, but why not a family member, like maybe his brother, Jason? Any thoughts, comments, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thankx.

Hmm....does he have anemia by any chance?

Anyway, maybe your friend values your friendship so much that he wants you to be able to take advantage of the policy he took out. I don't know what I'd do, because I'd almost feel the same way as you - that he should give it to someone like a family member or his girlfriend....but maybe he values you so much that he'd rather see you well taken care of than anyone else. Just a thought.

Well, actually, it's not anemia, but it does have to do with blood cell count, along with high iron and many other things that contribute to it. Maybe you're right, but it is a scary thought nevertheless. Ironically, he just called. He said that he has had to go back to the doctor over it and he forgot the name too. At least I'm not the only one. lol. thankx for your thoughts.

I know this is really off subject, but are you really an insurance agent?

Well, I can't really do that, but you might be a big help in giving me financial advice. lol.

I agree with Samantha friendship is worth more than money will ever be, because a friend like that can't be replaces, those are very hard to find.
