I was in Scotland a few days ago. I was there for a week , Edinburgh was my favorite. Great music, HOT MEN (tall, scruffy or clean, and handsome...there is such a great variety), pub food was good, great beer, good shopping, lovely castles and sight seeing. Anywho, bye.

^ I wish I lived in Edinburgh. Instead I'm stuck in a town just outside of Glasgow. It's okay. It's homely, I suppose. But something about Edinburgh has always fascinated me.

Oh, and yes, the beer is great. :P

I'm sure there is still plenty for me to discover in and around Glasgow. My point is mainly that I could do that anytime, since I live pretty close. Edinburgh is pretty much a brand new place for me. I've only been there a few times, and it's just always interested me. There's loads of cities in Scotland which I've still to explore, though, so I guess I'll just wait and see where I end up.

Glasgow was boring. It was just like any other city, other than a few sites to visit. However, that's not why Glasgow did not appeal to me. I felt like there was a tension between everyone, like half the inhabitants were time bombs waiting to go off. Isn't the crime rate very high in Glasgow? I wouldn't be surprised.

    Tata.

Hellon - I know what CRM museum you mean, but I didn't know it used to be a lighthouse. Haha. That's pretty cool. It's amazing how something can be right in front of you, yet you don't realise.

Jane - Yes, the crime rate for Glasgow, in comparison to the Scottish average is very high. Take crimes of violence (non sexual) for example. The Glasgow rate is 69, compared to 27 for the Scottish average. Not good.

Never been anywhere outside of the US except France, but I'm definitely Scottish - my dad, both of his parents, both of my sibs and I all have blue eyes and my last name is scottish! I would love 2 go there - it sounds like a really cool place!

Yep, I've been to Scotland, Ireland, England, Spain, France, Mexico, somewhat Canada, and of course the United States...if I had to pick somewhere to live outside the bay area, California..it would be Edinburgh, Scotland (or maybe Dingle, Ireland for a few years).

I visited the Art Gallery when I was younger for a school trip. Yeah, I knew it was built back to front, and didn't the architect commit suicide by jumping off the top of it?

I'd love to climb to the top of the lighthouse. That sounds amazing. :D

I don't understand how people can be Scottish and several other nationalities. Im English, my family are Buchanans though, and we always have Scottish style weddings and funerals.
