I'm a girl..and now my record is broken. ah well...it's leetspeak or Internet-speak, I really don't pay a lot of attention to it. 1337 when spelled on a calculator and turned upside down = Leet. a friend of mine = whom is well-versed in the 'language', was quite giddy when a champion on Jeopardy used 13.37 as what he was waging, and that's where I learned the meaning.

Oh in that case I think it is very confusing. Sadly, it appears that the different typing styles (for words) has become a huge obstacle for the generation gap between many parents and their children.

To me, typing out a conversation or poem in leet instead of language is showing immaturity and creates more headaches than anything else.

mmm.. I don't know maybe I am just to old to want to learn new tricks, but as my children age I begin to learn unwillingly and still refuse to accept it.
