I need help there is this guy and i really like him he has a locker beside mine and we had a dance friday and his friend told me he liked me but i dont really know his friend so idk if hes lieing like guys usually do and i was dancing in a group with my friends like 4 or 5 of them and he came over and was trying to dance with me (i could tell) but he was kinda dancing with my friends trying to work his way over to me and dance with me and my friend like literally chased him off right befor he could dance with me

Well just take a shot, you wont know until you do. Or have a guy friend go talk to him and he can slip the answer when they're in a conversation.

Just start a conversation with him, get to know him, and see where things go from there. Don't have your friends talk to him or anything, do it yourself.
