    Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

    If you like Miranda Lamberts music as much as I do then this is the contest for you. I would like to see the same crunch of arrogance that she uses in her lyrics in your poems. Release that rage in words.
    Thanks and have fun.

    I look to the picture of the girl he left me for,
    With her brown hair and pretty green eyes,
    And I can't help but wonder If Id've been more -
    Like that girl, than maybe I'd still have my guy.

    With her tight-fittin' jeans and little white shirts,
    She walks hand in hand around town with him,
    And she looks over to me as she sits and flirts -
    With my boy, and she's got a waist so slim -

    My heart races beneath my pale white skin,
    As I look over to them and hide my tears,
    But I try to clean up the mess that I'm in,
    Because I know it was a waste of two years.

    And with bite marks on my tongue, I turn my head,
    To look over to her, with her eyes so cunning,
    And I walked over toward them and spitefully said:
    "Should I ignore this and just keep on running?"

    With confusion, they both looked over to me,
    Scowling, I said: "So If I was more like her,
    Would you love me still? Or is this how it's to be?
    Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it's still a blur -

    I've wasted a few days thinking about this,
    And I know if I was more like her, I wouldn't of,
    But you see, as they say, ignorance is bliss,
    And maybe if I was more like her, I'd still be in love."

    And this time I walked for the first time in awhile,
    With their eyes on my back as I left them there,
    Evidently, I was able to conjure up a little smile,
    Because this time, it was me that didn't care.

    --Far from my best, but you people will live; I have to vent somehow.--
    ```````````````````````````````````````
    I've always said, "Follow your heart,"
    But what if that isn't the best for you?
    You're like the drug, and I, the addict,
    But your taste is getting stale; it's nothing new.
    Take your gunpowder and stuff it in my mouth;
    You're just like my substance abuse.
    You've got it pointed at my head instead of my heart,
    And you know there's nothing left worth to produce.
    Everybody deserves a chance to explain,
    But baby, you've got enough to do,
    There's something about you that breaks my heart;
    My time shouldn't be spent running after you.
    You think you've got me under your nail,
    But hunny, that's something I can handle,
    There's nothing more I want to do;
    I've always hated your lies and scandals.
    With the cocaine under my nose,
    Everything feels all right, but we both know it's not.
    The foundation may be there, but it's rotting,
    There's a tear for decision, and I'm actually caught.
    The taste is getting stale; it's nothing new,
    There's just something about it that makes me stay.
    What is familiar seems right, but isn't always what it seems,
    I've got a decision to make and I'd better make it soon.
    I've always said, "Follow your heart,"
    But what if that isn't the best for you?
    You're like the drug, and I, the addict,
    But your taste is getting stale; it's nothing new.
    Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
    There is no need
    To worry about her
    I took care of it
    Of that I am sure
    No more letters or calls
    From the girl you once called "Love"
    I'm sure you were quite done with her
    And that you'd had enough
    I told her to leave you alone -
    Your relationship with her had come to an end
    And that you wanted nothing to do
    With a crazy ex-girlfriend
    At first she pretended
    That she didn't understand
    But I made sure she did
    With this gun in my hand
    The look of fear on her face
    Filled me with such joy
    Knowing I would have you
    All to myself, Roy
    I killed her
    And to hell I'll be sent
    But I did it so you never have to worry
    About a crazy ex-girlfriend
    And we can now be happy
    No more girls in our way
    We'll be together forever
    And that is how we'll stay
    There is no need to thank me
    I did it all for you
    Cheer up, my love
    Don't look so blue
    Why have you told me
    That this, I cannot mend?
    Am I now just
    A crazy ex-girlfriend?
    Easy From Now On.
    How often can you change the little things in life?
    Such as this personality that causes you to cry.
    Such as the perfectioned facade that's making you lie.
    Oh, how often can you change it? Never, dollface, never.
    It's taken you too far, so spread your wings and fly
    downward toward the opened red looking pie.
    The burned edges is your house,
    the middle is your life..
    And, the very bottom of this pie,
    is a list of all your lies.
    Easy from now on? I doubt that, dollface, doubt it.
    You've walked too many steps on this narrow path,
    taken too many shortcuts, bringing on the wrath.
    So, take your little memories that are all you have..
    take them and leave us, oh yes, just leave us dollface.
    You're famous in a small town,
    With your boots up to your knees,
    You've got the desire of every man,
    But you've also got a disease.
    The years on the streets,
    Took their toll on you health,
    But carry on, in that same old way,
    Move across bedrooms with that same old stealth.
    And paint your face up
    Like it's your trademark.
    But darling we all know,
    That's getting it on in car parks.
    Each step you take provokes a whisper,
    But you like it that way.
    With each skipped meal you get thinner,
    And the pile mounts in your ashtray.
    You're famous in a small town,
    I think everybody would agree
    You're famous in a small town,
    But that's all you wanted to be.
    More Like Her
    By: Charisma*
    Between the dishes and the laundry
    The bathrooms and the floors
    I don't know how she does it all
    And still has time for more.
    In the middle of this chaos
    She still finds time for fun.
    She keeps giving of herself
    And sometimes comes undone.
    But it doesn't stop the charity
    She'd give you her last penny
    If just to see your smile
    To her that would be plenty.
    If ever I have a problem
    She becomes the sounding board.
    She would be a therapist
    I just couldn't afford.
    Everybody loves her
    It's easy to see why.
    She's a mother, a friend,
    A daughter and a wife.
    At the end of one of these days
    A bedtime story can be heard.
    And my only wish in life
    Is to be more like her.
