    -----------------------CLOSED---------------------------------------CLOSED

I didn't want to make my other one really big, so I'll just split it into two since theres just one song less I couldn't make it a two part contest either...anyways, here are the titles, from Julie Roberts' 2004 cd entitled Break Down Here...

    Rain On A Tin Roof.

While suited perfectly he made his way,
further from the dents of yesterday.

Silence filled the room as he arose to speak,
never in a million years would anyone think,
the brother of a sister would stand up to say,
" It didn't even have to end this way."

With piles of letters he took a nap,
    holding his sisters softball cap.

    He could smell her sweetness,
    beginning to finally miss..
The times he had with her,
if only there were a cure.

The rain on a tin roof, he could hear.
And, out came the millionth and one tear.

He knew it was his sister, crying from above.
Suddenly, all he could continue to think of..
Was her shiny black hair, her tented bright smile..
and all the people that loved her in the letter pile.

Not my best, but eh. :/ It'll do.

    Unlove Me

You know I love you -
    You're my pal
    But that is all
    We'll ever be, Al

    Please know I never meant
    For you to get hurt
I don't want to be rude,
But I have to be curt

We cannot go on this way
    Why can't you see?
    I beg of you,
    Please, unlove me

I don't want to hurt you
I don't want to break your heart
But the only way we'll be happy
Is if we go back to how things were at the start

    Please, unlove me
    I beg you again
    Let's go back
    To just being friends

    It's easier that way
    And forever friends we'll stay
    Please understand
I just don't love you in that way

    Let's go back
To the way it used to be
    Once more I ask you
    Please, unlove me

    Josie

    Wake Up Older

The woman watches the time pass by,
Dreading as each of the seconds go.
A cough leaves the woman exhausted,
Making her lose her cheerful glow.

Time is getting shorter for this woman,
All will be lost to her in the very end.
Her closest family will be no use her
For she is getting closer to brink’s bend.

A prayer to her lord passes through her brain,
Leaving her with optimism and anticipation.
Maybe, for some reason, the clock will stop,
For the woman abhors her destination.

The lady prays her little prayer,
    Knowing karma will not leave.
Hurting all of others around her,
    Just to keep what achieved.

A good, hateful life is the life she lived,
Her last thoughts, as her body getting colder.
Hopefully, hell would not be so bad,
For the woman will never wake up older.

    Just cause we can

Leave your principles at the door,
30 minutes later you'll be on the floor,
And drink, yeah drink, dink some more,
So you know that you're sure,
you'll be able to look in your friends eyes and not care.

You're a different person, no, you're just his three minute fun,
Make certain you can handle what you've done,
You're the problem, the cure and the riddle all in one,
Maybe you'll quit once you've "won"
    Something tells me not...

You get caught, so much for a safe place,
It'll all be worth it in the morning when he's just another face,
    Another one you can't remember,
But you left your conscience back in november.
Now you take him back to where it began
and you say it's "just cause we can."
