How do I bring it up?

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 10 months now and I love him with all my heart. I really think he is the one for me and he has told me that he feels the same. He's amazing and he's really been there for me especially through this hard time. I lost my dad about 3 months ago and he has been absolutely amazing and he's my rock. Well anyways thats not what I wanted to talk about. I made a promise that I wasn't going to have sex until I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him becasue I don't want to give that away to just anyone. I want him to be special and worth it. My boyfriend is a virgin, too and he told me that it'll happen when it happens and that he would never do anything that I didn't want to. He said that he was leaving it completly up to me and that he'd be ready when I was. Well I think I'm ready, but I don't know how to bring it up. I want to talk about it before anything happens, but I just don't know how to bring it up in the first place.

And if you can't say that without feeling uncomfortable, then you probably aren't ready and should hold off a little while..
