I need help...

This is going to be kind of long, but i really need some help...

Okay... i just got out of this relationship with an 18 year old. I am soo in love with him, and he loves me too, but his ex g/f (whom he dated for 1 year) just came back from texas. They are both in love, but she doesnt want him back. Her and I are friends now, and we talk about this often, but i want him back soo badly. He knows too, but he loves her, so where does that leave me? I dont want to lose him, the time we had together was amazing... i cant let go, but i cant have him either... what do i tell him to make him see that i love him soo much and i want to be with him?

You can`t make a guy see how you feel for him, when he obviously chose his ex over you . He knows where his heart lies, and so do you so why are you trying? Once she came back, he realized who he really wanted -- and that wasn`t you . The fact that he broke up with you before he could take you any deeper was a respectable thing to do -- in my eyes anyways .
Suck it up and move on . Showing him how much you love him and how much you don`t want to lose him is just gonna make him feel guilty -- It isn`t going to make him change his mind .

Thanks for your help guys, i understand where most of you are coming from. however, i cant just move on. she was in college...in texas, me and him are in rhode island and she is only in town for the summer. the whole time she was gone, he completly forgot about her...the times we had together were absolutely amazing. i have never had a love quite like this, and every time we're together, even now that she is back... it feels like the old times, only now i cant have him.... so see, i cant let go because im going to be so missing him... any help on that?

Hmmm well if this is what it sounds like then when the ex from texas goes back to texas I think he'll prob. forget about her since she'll be gone and go back to the old times....with you.....although I have no idea what this guy is like this is always a possibility.....

And if when the other girl does go back to Texas and he goes back to you then well thats not really a guy you'd want to be associating yourself with if he's always gonna be switching between girls....if he keeps switching to different girls but comes back to you when somethings wrong with the other girl then this can't be healthy....it'd almost be like he's using u....if u get what I mean....

just think....will it still be as amazing between you two if this kind of thing developed into what I said above?? I think you should just reflect on the advice given here from all these people and think through this well.......it's not gonna be easy......

Yeah, i think I'm going to take your advice guys... he has broken my heart soo many times, thank you for making me finally realize it...it hurts soo much, but although i will never stop loving him...there are more guys that will treat me better...right?

Matt- I wont have to worry about next year actually. He is enlisting into the Army this summer to go in as active infrantry....(the guys the slap a pair of boots on and hand them an M1 and let them fend for themselves.) We talked about staying together when he was in BT(basic training) but its not worth it...

Ahhh ok...well I'm glad you've made this decision, there are plenty of fish in the sea as some people say....you'll find someone even better then him I guarentee it!!! just keep looking!!
