Why Is It?

Well, a lot of the ppl on here say "Oh I will return the comments as long as you comment mine" but really it's only the ppl who has like more than 200 poems, has posted like 300 threads and are I guess you can say good poets whose poems actually get commented. But how do you expect the not so good poets to get better if the more experienced writers don't give them the advice that they need in order to get better?
Maybe it is just me, but do any of you feel this way to??

Dear, I feel pretty confident that I try to help out new members to the best of my ability. It's really hard to figure whether a person is a great poet or not... and it's up to that person to be active in this website in order to publicize their poetry. Sometimes, someone has a little stroke of luck and they're on their way. Others, they may find it difficult to get into the loop.

It's just like life: That's just the way it is.

Trust me dear, If I could change it, I would, but "I ain't superman" =]

    Sincerely,
    ~Stephen White

I'm not in any way asking you to change the way things are. And if out of anyone I would be the one to know life isn't fair sweety. But that doesn't mean that you can't take time out of you "busy schedule" to help us out.

Sorry if I offended you in anyway, but when you are just getting over a 5 month long case of writers block and need some help and no one will help you out you can say you get just a tad bit upset.

    Well.
ill tell it to ya straight-
People aren't really looking for some new poet who can't write for crap.. so they tend to be drawn to people on here who have 'proven their worth' already, so to say.

that is aleast what i know is the case with many poeple. and i, too understand the busy schedule thing. i have time to write my poems. and sometimes read a few poems. i dont have a ton of time to critique someone's work the the extent i do when i comment. when i comment, i try my best to actually comment, with substance. so it takes a long time. and i dont have a lot these days.. Sorry. =[

but i know how you're feeling, not getting help.

one peice of advice is to enter contests. the ones held by 'pros' sometimes crtique your poems as they're entered. and if you win you get(hopefully substantial) comments.

Well, are you trying to say that I can't write?? And I have been writing for like 3 years. Thanks for all your "worthless" help.
