I have a love for the random.

this is the sort of thing i'm looking for but anything along these lines will be welcomed

interesting structure or language
more than one emotion in less than 8 lines

and i am a fan of short but powerful poetry

On the outside I am black.
On the inside I am white.
My eye are blue but my lips are red.
My mind is green while my heart is gold.
These colors are me.

Im not sure how to do these contests but if im right im posting my poem here:

The Wait Is Over

After a cliche` day at school
I headed off to bowl
Though I suddenly felt different today,
And it caused me to feel whole

As I arrived at the alley
Everything seemed the same
We put on the same green shirts
And played the same old game

But this day would be different
And yet I didn't know why
Until I got your call
And my heart began to fly

The first time in months
We finally spoke again
It only lasted seconds
But it was a perfect ten

Like a burden lifted off of me
I was breathing through my pores
Coach let me bowl the final frame
And I rocketed my scores

This was a natural high for me
And it I will never forget
I thank you V
Whole-heartedly
For the day we finally met

My Oasis

The sand is hot beneath my feet
This desert air, a burning heat
I'm running wild in all directions
Slowly falling from my imperfections

These flats out here seem dead and barren
Monotonous lifelessness
The silence is blarin'

When then a quiver runs suddenly
Through my spine as I sense
A sanctuary
A safe haven
A sweet serenity

You are my oasis
The cool drink to quench my thirst
My resting place in the sun
One thing that's for sure is this
You're my only one
My oasis

Field of Innocence (Sonnet II)
Bryan

Tis moonlight that dances upon her face,
sends chills up my back, i stare in her eyes,
they enchant my heart in this horrid place,
lost in this moment, my heart slowly cries.

Toxic is her touch, she touches my skin,
lips upon my face, making my heart leap,
her beautiful heart that i hope to win,
takes all that i have for me not to weep.

Happy I'm becoming, took me so long,
still i write sonnets to my broken heart,
I'm tired of playing the same old love songs,
making me sad while tearing me apart.

In a Fields of Innocence, i will wait,
hoping she will come, always filled with hate.

His eyes begged a question
On his lips was the answer
And in the minds of our friends was the thought, "You two, get a room."
But we said nothing
Save our mutual blushing
Our seperate ways say "To be continued..."
