Any and all decisions are final and rules and guidelines are subject to change without notice at "Poems & Quotes" discretion.

    1. The first and most important rule is to be respectful to all members. Being disrespectful to other members will not be tolerated.

    2. Do not post your poems in this forum. Submit them here.

    3. Do not post texts that are not yours. It is violation of copyright laws. To refer to copyrighted poem or text put link to original source.

    4. No advertisements of any kind are allowed in the forums.

    5. No spamming or bumping is allowed.

    6. Posts containing violence, hate, racism, etc. will be deleted.

    7. Any swearing or vulgar slang is strictly forbidden.

    8. Harassment will not be tolerated.

    9. Post requests to read/comment your poems only in this category.

    10. If a member is inactive for over 120 days (has made no posts) their account may be deleted.

    ******************************************

Ok guys it appears that there have been a few issues and rules ignored in the forums.

Pay close attention to rules # 6 & # 8. I have seen these two rules alone disregarded and it will not be tolerated.

If any of the above rules are violated then the moderator amy at his / her discretion chosse to do one of many things.

    1. Ignore post and go on {doubt it happens}
    2. Delete post
    3. Delete post with a penalty
    4. Edit the post
    5. Delete the whole thread.

Though there is no order to follow, the choice of action is up to the moderator to use his/her best judgement.

Show respect for other members when posting and follow the guidelines set forth. This is a great way to ensure that everyone will have a pleasant time while on the forums.

I'd like to know where you've noticed point 6. I'm here almost every day...yet I do not recall seeing anything of that kind.

    Maybe it's just me, then.

    ^^ Elyness..

That's because she had them deleted. I saw an entire thread deleted because of it's contents.

Sherry, as for rule #8, sometimes I think the mods are too quick to jump in at times. They should give people the time to resolve the problem on their own, and step in when there is no progress.

    OOO. Really?

Wow. That's...that's bad. What on earth happened?

As I said it is up to the moderator. Some think we react to quickly while others think that we do not react fast enough.

There is no set time limit, but each moderator uses his/her best judgement.

I know it's difficult to decide when is a good time to step in Sherry, and I'm not saying it's specifically you, but majority of the times, mods step in too quick.

Well, the email option is no longer available, but you can private message people. I do recall telling someone to do so, and they ended up having their thread locked. Anyways, I'm glad the moderators are noticing what's going on.

Can't moderators read Private Messages, as well? Nosey moderators...sheesh.

Yes, what's his face...The drag queen moderator...Kevin? Ken? Yeah, him. He's cussed and insulted his fair share. Can we suspend his account please? Kevin, next time I go to Edinburgh, you're taking me to dinner.
