Actually i would just say that i randomly pick my titles, but i wrote a poem and i just couldn't think of a title, and it was bothering me because that kind of thing is just natural. so with me, i read my poem when its finished. and the first thought or word that comes to mind, i put as my title. if that helps...

My title will usually consists of the emotion i'm feeling or in some cases a phrase from the poem...

My titles are usually the inspiration of my poem, or a description of my inspiration

I pick the title by one of the phrases in the poem... I write the poem first and i either choose a phrase from it or the main emotion being portrayed

During school I listen to something the teacher is talking bout or ifI read a book or an essay I take a phrase

I always have a pad of paper on me for when I hear them I must have like 20 pages worth of titles

I just take the meanings and how the poem has went and I try to think of as many titles as possible. Even by the way it sounds when I first read the poem, like I read the title and then the poem.

In making a title I put into consideration the genre and emotion of the poem and the most striking line in my poem.. those of which usually come at the end of my poems..

Normally it comes to be before hand but with the odd case that is doesnt I just leave it until something comes to my mind that I think fits perfectly.

I think title can describe the whole poem , so it's like the conclusion of your poem. ^^
And I must pick title that can make people interested in my poem. ^^

Sometimes The Title Inspires The Poem & Sometimes My Poems Inspire My Title.....I Just Write Either One First And See Where It Takes Me....

Whatever i feel like writing about... my titles are how i write my poems... it all starts with that (in my opinion)

    I have different approaches.

I've written a word as the title to begin with and started writing from there.

I've had a request for a poem, of which I used a similar title.

I've branched out away from the actual subject using word association.

I've discussed similes, emotions, animals that maintain a certain aura about them, and develop that within.

I've looked up stories of mythology for a similar point.

There's plenty of ways to go about it. Luckily, this is one of the very very few times that the end justifies the means (God I hate saying that.)

Thats a very technical question. A tittle is always impeded in the poem it self...if you cant pick a sentence from the poem, then you have to feel the tittle

I write it last, so that I can really make it suit the poem.

Ahm..when i start writing the poem then I pick the best title for it

Sometimes I start out with a only the title and build the poem from that, sometimes I write the poem first and then find a title, or take it from a line or phrase in the poem. Sometimes the title is obvious to the poem, sometimes it is more obscure. There's times when the title comes to me easily and there's been times when I absolutely agonize over finding a good title.

    Peace,
