Everyone seems to be affected differently by events, and they cry differently, and at varied times. |

I cry when Im tired...its some sort of weird issue I have...if Im tired, anything can make me cry. But I have to be very very tired. Normally (while wide awake) I don't cry. No pain can make me cry, physical, mental or emotional. I used to cry a lot when I was younger because my life is very hard and my heart is very soft. But as I got older I realized that most things aren't worth my tears, and that no matter how badly my life sucks, it cant get worse (and yet it still does get worse, its a rip off if you ask me). I can, however, make myself cry on cue. If I think about it, I can make myself cry for hours. |

Nothing makes me cry more than going to church and seeing people go to the altar when my pastor asks if people want to accept Christ as their Lord and saviour...I'm very religous and cant help but bawl...not sure if its because I'm proud, or hurt that so many people are in need |

Yeah, I definitely get teary eyed when I'm hearing some intense, climactic classical music - especially when I'm hearing it live. Also - and this is really nerdy - I almost always nearly cry during good, moving, picture montages, when they're set to music. Like they have on lots of commercials, or on shows on National Geographic channel, and the like. I'm like "bugs crawling on a twig! an ocean! a small child! a picture of the earth!" And then I tear up. Yep. |

Donâ??t get me wrong. I can get teary on very depressing music. However, the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack isn't so much depressing as to make me weep. |

I cry when ever old people cry from being hurt emotionally... Some songs make me cry. And seeing my guy friends cry makes me tear up. They have it hard. Grls can cry more openly than guys. And us grls can talk about everything. Guys are sort of shut off. |

Well I've found out that I probably have a few mental/emotional disorders (thanks to people of course) and I think they have caused me to become hypersensitive. It doesn't always make me cry but a lot of things hurt my feelings. I never understood why I cried so much until I did some research. I use to be very sad during my 7th-8th grade years. I cried at least five nights a week. I lived a sad life then. Now I'm better. MUCH better. I have Kip. :) That's all I ever wanted. I realized that some of things that make me cry or hurt are because of some of my OCD. I feel very insulted if one of my parents takes the window seat in a restaurant and won't move when I tell them I need to sit there. They understand now but a while ago my dad wouldn't move so I was miserable. No this isn't a snotty kid wants the window thing this is a kid feels the need to sit by it because it's away from other people, she's use to it, it's closed in. It may be hard to understand because it's hard to explain. Oops gotta go I'll be back later. :) |

Alright I'm back for a short bit. Well anyways to help explain a little more....For any of you that know anything about OCD you should understand that there are certain rituals that I do. The seat thing was one of them so I kind of flip if one of my rituals changes. It's very strange to me. I get very upset if people are yelling. It doesn't even have to be directly at me. I'm very sensitive to bad vibes. My brother is usually in a bad mood (I swear he has a disorder of some sort) so I feel uncomfortable with him just being on the same floor as me. Seriously. You wouldn't believe how uncomfortable he makes me feel. But that's another story for another fourm. :) My OCD makes me have uncontrolable thoughts so I often picture murder scenes in my head over and over again and picture bad things happening. I don't mean to it just happens. That makes me cry. I'm much better than I use to be though. Much better....I also use to put myself down a lot. I'd think of wonderful things that I want to happen and then of course the other me has to come in and say why are you even bothering thinking of this it will never happen. So that made me cry. |

Jennifer, I have OCD too. I used to think everyone had uncontrolled, flash images of killing each other, murder, rape, etc...Then I talked to a therapist. |

Ha ha. Small word.... :) Yeah I've done a lot of research on it and now I understand why I was so messed up as a child! It even states that it often starts during childhood! I was so bad then....with the imagery part. I'm still bad just in a different category. :) I hate when people talk about it in health class because a lot of people don't really have a clue about it besides the clean and organized part which isn't always true and can also be the opposite. |
