Poetry Preferances

I tend to write short poetry, longer poetry seems to be more common here...does the length matter, what are the best types of poems?

I think poetry is about the content and quality not quantity xxxxxxxxxxxxx

I kinda have to agree with Andrew. Because the people with the top notch awards next to there name do get looked at because it means they are the better poets. Which I think is totally retarded but its the way the site works. But I think that as long as you are expressing yourself then it shouldn't matter if the poem is 3 stanzas or 45. But if it's long, you have to be able to keep the readers attention. But I don't think anyone really cares as long as its interesting for the reader. But for the poet its a whole different story....................

The "best" type of poems? I really don't think there is a better type. I think good poetry comes from the heart, even if not everyone can understand it. I don't think the length matters. I've read some really short poetry, and I was just amazed with it. And I've read some long poetry, and I honestly wasn't impressed.
