Sorry I am late judging this contest my computer has been in the shop for a little while, but the Winners of this contest are as follows:

Blissful Torture for Emptiness=1st place=15 r/r/c
Happiness is just a gash away for Child=2nd=10 r/r/c
Briana Coulter for Emptiness=3rd place=5 r/r/c

All of the above poems really caught my eye and keep my attention, well written, and full of emotion. Great job.

Anger, rage, dismay, betrayal,
his life is looking rather frail,
to take it away would be a breeze,
yet i can't afford the legal fee's,

you damned i hate you- i hope you burn,
you stupid prick i hope you learn,
fuck you I'll kill you- your not my friend,
you've torn my heart- for that you'll end,

fury burning with passion of sun,
die you bastard- you were my only one,
will my love for you forever endure,
i don't think it can ever stay honest and pure...

The Distance

The sun beats down; as I walk down this road,
And my blackened heart continues to erode -
From the things you did; all the words you said,
And all along I was misused and I was mislead.

You threw me to the ground; rubbed my face in dirt,
I wouldn't let you know it; but what you did hurt,
So I throw all of my hopes and dreams to the sky,
Hoping that one night on the interstate you'll go by.

I'll watch your tail lights disappear into the skyline,
And I'll celebrate my freedom with a bottle of cheap wine,
With a new man on my arm and a smile on my face,
I'll walk the distance and I'll walk it with pure grace.

Destruction (acrostic)

Destruction is imminent
Every day some thing goes wrong
Starting every day in horror
Tactically planning what she will do
Ready to quickly get out of the bed
Understanding where she went wrong
Counting the seconds until he will awake
Tip toeing out of the room, scared from the night before
Ignored and beaten old scars underneath the new
Only to know it will never stop
Naively believing him when he says sorry and he will stop

But she will never understand why he does lie to her,
She will never understand why she thinks he will change,
But the man she one loved put on a happy face,
But underneath she never knew he was deranged.

Emptiness

I am empty,
Non-existent,
Only breathing to die.

I was once
So full of life,
Full of joy.
Now here I lie.

This emptiness,
A hollow grave,
Has consumed me
Since you said 'Goodbye'.

Now I am empty,
Non-existent,
Only breathing to die.
