Never done before contest :-)

At least I don't believe it's ever been done before!

I'm a HUGE movie buff and I know there are plenty more of movie lovers out there...So I was thinking of a contest that can relate to movies and NOT another title contest....

Heres the contest.....You can pick ANY movie ever made (it'd be easier then having me pick for you) and you have to write a poem telling me what the movie is about....Forgive me, but I'm having a brain fart.....are the paragraphs on the back of movies called biographys?...I dont know! haha

But it must be in rhyme to make it a little trickier....
To put it in simpler words...."SELL YOUR MOVIE TO ME!"....persuade me to want to watch your movie....

    Heres an Example

    My movie...Finding Nemo

    Born with a gimpy fin
To swim fast was always his wish
He was very tiny; orange and white
Nemo was the name of this clownfish

His mother died leaving the dad
    To raise him all alone
    In a hectic underwater world
In corals; that was their home

Little Nemo gets captured by divers
And his daddy is so very scared
A wonderful movie about a search
Of a dad showing he really cared

Will he find him in the great big ocean?
Facing sharks and fish of all kinds
    A film of determination
In hopes that his son he will find

Minimum of 4 stanzas......you can have more of course!

I'll pick top 3 winners! Ends June 29

    1st: 8 r/r/c
    2nd: 6 r/r/c
    3rd: 4r/r/c
Please tell me what movie you are choosing to promote

    Higher Learning

    High school goes on by,
    You never did fit in,
    But college will be different,
You can feel it deep within.

    Entering the outside world,
    Much too far from home,
Nothing's what you thought it was,
    In emptiness you roam.

    In the deep of night,
    The devil comes to call,
    Seducing every weakness,
    Pushing you to fall.

One foot in, you can't get out,
Your heart now filled with fear,
For everything you think you've lost,
And all that you hold dear.

    Racial slurs flow with ease,
    Fists fueled by rejection,
You've lost yourself along the way,
    Can make no real connection.

    Pressured by your lonely heart,
You stand to face your fate,
Through the barrel of a rifle,
    You spread their vicious hate.

Faced with all you come to do,
    You hate yourself much more,
You turned the gun upon yourself,
    To end this bitter war.

All it took was one wayward soul,
    Lost among the crowd,
To change the lives of every being,
For pain screams oh so loud.

    Riding in Cars with Boys

Beverly was a small town girl from Connecticut,
Didn't know much about the world or anything in it,
But she lived life to the fullest in the fast lane,
Met a boy she thought that she could entertain.

In the front seat of a car; things got hot and heavy,
She gave up her innocence in an old green Chevy,
But a few weeks later, she had a baby in her tummy,
Wanted to get rid of it, but she didn't have any money.

    "I was going to raise a good family, hold my head up proud;
But that plan's dead," Her Dad said, looking around,
So she accepted a vow from a guy that was no good,
He promised her everything, he'd do what he could.

In a small little ceremony at "Church of the Holy Family,"
She did what she promised to do and she got married,
    After the wedding, they went back to a small place in town;
With the help of her father, Ray put a small payment down.

Just fifteen years old; Beverly still had a lot to learn,
For her high school degree; she desperately wanted to earn,
But a dead beat Dad doesn't change his ways for a dime,
And Beverly soon found out that her husband was slime.

In her parents basement; he stood to say: "I'm a junkie,"
To get another fix of heroin; he spent all their money,
She built up the courage, said goodnight and goodbye,
Finally realized that her whole life had been a big lie.

So she carried on; did what she was able to for their son,
Handled herself the best she could without coming undone,
Despite it all; if there was one thing she wouldn't regret,
It was riding in cars with boys on that day she'll never forget.

The quote at the top isn't part of the poem, it is just a quote from the movie that has been very memorable for me since the first day I seen the movie. :]
