Nothing Left To Say But Goodbye

Each day we pass in the halls of our home
Not a word do we share it's like living alone

You on your way to a job that you hate
I'm driving the carpool and we're all running late.

Too many times we just passed for we knew
That the distance between was too big and too true

Late nights all alone when you called on the phone
Working late once again and you wouldn't be home.

But I know you are lying It's a truth I must face
I've seen you with her, I have now been replaced.

The reflection of tears that are seen in my eyes
Is the pain of a heartache that lives in your lies.

As shadows cross over the love that we knew
Lost in the depths of two lives black and blue

No longer a semblance of what we once shared
Just scars from the wounds of pain that we wear.

Still I wait in darkness as tears fill my eyes
Knowing nothing is left but to say our goodbyes.

Opening the door, I am filled with dread
Anger intense, for the woman in our bed
Bodies bare, twisted, and tangled
Our love once vibrant has now been strangled

Hate is blazing in my tourtorted soul
This sercet I wish I did not know
For I can not just turn and walk away
I am at a loss, I have nothing to say

Thanks to compromising positions, I have seen
It has to be the end, the end of everything
My hate and my anger are now so strong
I have feared this, for so damn long

That I am in an idle state, a trance
Mourning for our lost romance
And evrything inside me is now dead

I know that is not my best but here it is

Nothing left to say but goodbye

It's much like a storm,
that comes and goes.
And after the storm comes silence,
Eventually the sun gives in and shows.

Sometimes too much happens,
and it's quite hard to just swallow.
Sometimes you just need to give up,
sometimes you just fall asleep to see tomorrow.

When the love of your life,
just realized he was too busy.
Or he spent some time thinking,
and decided love would bring misery.

When you look all around,
with tears filling your eyes.
And there's not a sound,
no one to wipe the wounds of the lies.

When things have gone too far,
to know they'll never turn back.
And there's no point hoping for more hope,
no one's going to cut you any slack.

Open your eyes and wipe off those tears,
If he had any love at all he'd have shown it these past years.
Open your eyes and realize,
that when you're love is built on just a lie,
Sometimes there is nothing left to say,

And his quill is his tongue of virtue

He ponders his lilies in essence
Making sure that they are all pure
For his love deserves perfection
And his heart is all but demure

And after the sands of time passes
He pines his life to the bones
Awaiting that perfect moment
To secure himself in the unknown

This man he has loved wholly
And his love is but a moment away
But he will never feel her touch
His heart did his shyness betray
