What would you say the best thing to help with depression?
iv tried poetry and it helps alot but iv got a block and so all my anger and sadness comes out on my family or in my room with music loud enough to drown me out.
iv tried my friends but were not to close right now so that option went out the window.

Anti-depressents don't alawys work. They made me much worse. I was really suicidal when I was on them, and went I refused to take them, I felt better within a week.
But, I agree, write a letter. I do that quite a bit.

Eh. True about the anti-depressants, but if you do end up taking them, even though 90% of the time they make you worse, I'd advise you to NOT take lexapro.
    It's the worst one.

My dad took ani depressents and he went totally like a robot he didnt feel any emotions it drove my mum nuts... the only anti depressant i know of that works is st john walt or some thing,

but i dont think ill try anti-depressants not unless it gets really bad.

They don't make you worse for a long time. It's mostly just because of the sudden chemical inbalance...within a few weeks you'd feel much better. People make meds to be so bad....I think it's just for the status-quo.

ACtually, I took them for 2 years, and it never got better. I swtiched between at least 10 different ones, and lexapro, as I said before was the wrost, but none of them actually helped.

Eh. Honestly, I actually refuse any drugs now. Except for ones for your health. I just won't take any that mess with your mood or stuff like that.

Im very bad at sports, the only thing im good at is running and i get tired very easly, but i know what you mean it just makes you more up beat, kind of like smiling which also can produce endorphines.....

i dont really want to take ani-depressents mainly because i find swollowing pills hard to do.

writing helps alot but most of the pages iv done are compleatly unreadable.

Eh. Exercise helps depending on what is bothering me. And as for talking, ha. I tend to bottle my feelings inside. I hate talking about things going on in my life. I have tons of spirals filled with thoughts, emotions, and poems though. And yes, writing does help very much.

I know how you feel cuz i sometimes go threw that. what i do is write in my diary. every day i write in it imaining that it's a person who i talk to. i write down all the things, events , and thoughts that happen to me and it really works. you feel better and u don't feel like you have everything inside of you. keeping a diary is like keeping a person who only you know about and can talk to when ever you feel down. you can also listening to soft music. try it!!
