How gifted are you??

Most of us are able to write when inspired by something..

are you able to write just as well when you aren't inspired but need to make a poem??

honestly, i find it difficult..

I just write whenever. It might be a bit easier when I have an inspiration. But all I need is a pen and some paper and from there I have no idea what takes place. :)) But in the end I have a peice of art.

I don't need inspiration. I can write whenever I feel the need or want. I've actually gotten better feedback on my non-inspired poems.

I can write on spur of the moment
I find most of my writing (besides answering questions)
comes out poetic and has some sort of flwo to it.

well, my uninspired poems don't come out as nice as the inspiration driven ones..

I have to agree with this. You can write just one line and have inspiration enough to finish the piece and continue to work on something else.

I don't write anything unless I feel like writing it, and most of the time, I feel like writing. ^_^

I can write a poem without inspiration, I believe writing must come from the heart from deep down inside your soul.

A writer has the same amount of talent to write as an artist has to draw, as well as would a stuntman or woman have to do stunts, or a baseball player would have to play baseball. It's not a matter of being gifted, but it's a matter of motivation that's always questioned. That's a personal quote, I bear rights to it =]

I believe theres always inspiration out there anytime you need it you just have to look for it. It may be subtle or have a huge impact on you but it is inspiration nonetheless lol I know what you mean though its hard to write when you dont neccesarily "feel like writing" lol yea sometimes for school its easy to write following structure and things but those poems mean nothing to me. My poems that i write that i put my emotions into are the ones id want to keep forever. Although i did lose my book...

I usually write when im going through something and need an outlet but i can never follow any structure or anything in my poems.. and i always always need some reason or inspiration to actually put my heart in my poems.

I feel that I'm not, but I am. I remember when it came to my school. They needed me to write a poem about mother. I had really no inspiration or mood for writing such kind of a poem, but I did it. It got a lot of fans.

Maybe you don't have inspiration, but your heart is always the same..

I don't know how this has to with gift.

But most of my recent poems have been written spur-of-the-moment, with no prior thought whatsoever. So I suppose if the ability to just sit down and compose makes you gifted, write me up.

I'm not very talented at all. Lol. I can't write worth a damn without inspiration.

Hmmmm, i need some inspiration...like my poems relate to something thats happened, or they are dedicated to someone i know, or i right em for someone else who is going through something....it makes me understand the problem better. im not that good, as you will see if ya check me work out, but i find it a good release to write, it gets stuff out like lol xxx

I dont need inspiration , all i need is a good topic sentence and some words to follow

Yeah, I can write out of nothing, but it doesnt always turn out as great

I can write anytie as long as i have pen and paper or pc xxx

It takes longer but I can do it. Usually takes a couple edits and breaks inbetween to get it right

I can usually just start describing something really basic and it'll turn into something else. Like with my memories poem, it was supposed to just be about the sky but I turned it into a poem about memories of the people you've lost...I don't really think too hard.

I think when you think too hard the poem comes out wrong.

I can begin to write from the mind but as I continue some inspiration from a past experience or feeling usually pops up its only then that it really begins to flow and turn into more than just rhyming words.

I usually can write best when i have strong emotions towards a certain person or thing. im not really able to write about other people as easily because i dont feel their emotions.

Well..when I have words in my mind, if I'm depressed..but sometimes I write without any topic..how could that be..lol
