Okay, so I'm loving these song title contests! Here's one from me. These titles don't necessarily mean I like the song...just the title.

I'm not sure if you were asking for opinions or not, but if you were;

Personally, I think "Never Again" was the better poem. I really liked the story behind it.

& to the thread creator; my apologies for going off topic. :]

Are you seriously that upset because I asked you to pick one?! And sense I did read the rules and her REPONSE TO YOU I'd appreciate it if you had all the facts before you started getting on my case. ~Midnight Sun

I am sorry to all those involved that I didn't state one per title until later...but it gets too complicated for me if everyone does two. And it allows more entries from other people, so there's more to choose from.
I do not appreciate the rudeness from Happiness Is Just A Gash away directed towards anyone. And I don't think it is nice to say that no one says you can only do just one poem, because I DID. Those are MY rules. And besides that...Big Girls Don't Cry was reserved before you so you can keep Never Again, but you may NOT submit two poems. That goes for everyone!
I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. I will go and repost ONE TITLE PER POET up at the top to stop any further problems.

I appreciate that Happiness Is Just a Gash Away, but there is a line in your poem that is from a song.
"But it's like pouring raindrops back into a cloud" is from a Carrie Underwood song. So if you could change that...it would be much appreciated!

Thanks For The Memories

Time stands still as she sits here and writes,
pouring rain, while the moon shines down light.

Locked up for weeks, the whole time she has wept,
spending every second thinking of promises unkept.

He said that he loved her, and this he had swore,
that he will never hurt her as he had done before.

But he is good at this, he knows how to pretend,
how to break her heart so, and do it over again.

But this time he has done it, he has gone too far,
as the background plays "Teardrops On My Guitar".

She writes him a poem, it's her final goodbye,
she wipes the tears, as they begin to fill her eyes.

Swallowing that pill, the last line comes to a summary,
in large letters for all to read, Thanks For The Memories.
