A sickness set inside the soul,
This love that will not die,
I thought you were the remedy,
You were just the lie.

The sweet charade I used to hide,
All I held within,
The soft escape that came along,
When lonely did set in.

I can't get through a single day,
Without wishing he were here,
Instead of you my wilted flower,
My lover, I need near.

The one who holds my everything,
Body, mind and soul,
The one I lost to misery,
The one who makes me whole.

Great, ive got everyone!

Welcome To My World

Welcome to my world,
It's not perfect,
But it ain't rusted to much,
Only here and there.

I tried not to let things rot out,
But as you can see,
The skeletons and skulls,
Of what I let died.

I swear I'm not perfect,
But I admit I do better then most,
The only thing I seem to do best,
Not to brag.

I sometimes love a little to much,
Or be friendly at moments,
And a b___ the next,
It's how I am.

I sometimes listen to music,
A little too loud,
Or stay up all night and morning,
To wake up to find it's 1 in the afternoon.

I cry when I seem that I can't hold it in,
Sometimes I feel like running away,
I hide away when,
I just want to be alone.

Welcome to my world,
I'd reckon if you don't like it,
It's too bad,
This is how I live my life and I love it!

It's Not Over

"Come by if you think you'd want to help"
Your first words on that fated afternoon
Pulled up in your old sedan, to meet me alone
Nobody else believed in you

What you were trying to do
Reminded me of who I used to be
Arrogant and self-assured
Of my abilities

I'm told I was wrong, I should've been glad
To have been humbled by this brutal path
But all I kept thinking is how I wanted that back
And now it's not living if it's not what I have

I said I cried, but I have to admit, my soul died when I heard
You left in a makeshift ship carved from a can
A life without you, I couldn't bare,
So I jumped in and swam

As I grabbed at the straw you cast from your boat
Pulled myself to shore, full of renewed hope
Picked up the pieces from what I have learned
This dream isn't over until you've returned

Unbreakable

My spirit is unbreakable,
Though it bends and sways,
Never shall it touch the ground,
Or fall within the haze.

Happiness is what I crave,
What I search to find,
Age has taught me it is found,
Deep inside the mind.

You control your feelings,
You make every choice,
Stop and take a minute,
To listen to your voice.

The little one inside your head,
You've learned to just tune out,
That instinct deep inside your soul,
We cannot live without.

Just Like I remember (Sonnet III)

Why does it hurt so much to say goodbye?
to take back all the love that I gave her,
look the woman I love right in the eye,
and pray that I won't ever remember.

Never again get to feel her soft touch,
like those times we used to sit holding hands,
every now and then I miss them so much,
and I hope one day she will understand.

Until then my love will have to depart,
to go through life feeling nothing but pain,
writing these sonnets to my broken heart,
while siting outside in the pouring rain.

The more I pray the more I think of her
and she will be Just Like I remember.

Ive got everybody so far...

Im still deciding whether to do "so amazing" or "take me away".

There's probably a certain point
When it's disrespectful to say "I told you so"
But I've been known for missing those
When bitterness takes full control

(and I'm very bitter right now,
when I hear you shout off at the mouth
like you know everything
about things you know nothing about)

So you lost it all, promises left unfulfilled
Life hasn't worked out as you thought it will
Another lie to pile high on top of a garbage bin
Until there seems to be nothing left to believe in

Searching for something to occupy your mind
Express yourself with what you know,
And let time pass you by
Ignore the rules of others, you never did like compromise

You thought I had the world
Never knew what I've done
To get where I am
Or the fears I confront

Sure, you've felt lonely before
But have you ever felt so alone
When all eyes are on you
And you just have to know

Your subconcious screams loud
You can't block it out)

Stand up strong and decide
For every word carries lives
In the delicate balance
Between wrong and right

And when you start to pull your hair out
To keep from reaching for a knife
I'll laugh out loud, once again proud
To say, "Welcome to my life"
