I went when I was a teenagers of course that was many years ago. But My expierence was short stayed. They had lined me up for "meds" which you had to have and could not refuse to take them. They gave me depression medication which turned me into a zombie. On a softer note I played video games and painted. Tryied to pretend I was ok. It has it moments. The worse part about it was the no privacy. They had to agree with everything I had, and came into the room at night and showed a flashflight in your face. Oh god that one pissed me off! ANyways this was a while ago so I don't know if I was any help. |

Its really scary at first i'll warn you. You'll feel alone, But you DO make friends. So just think of that, when you get settled and start opening up a bit things will start to be easier for you. |

No just because you've been on 2 different meds doesn't mean you are "screwed up", all they are trying to do is find what works the best for you're chemical imbalance. Because thats what it is. Some people just can't control it with out the medication. So when a doctor wants to try something new its not always a bad thing. |
