Hello, I decided to write about another Religion. Inspired from the "One Word Contest" going on, I chose Hinduism. This choice was made because the word I chose was KISMET. This means fate, destiny, and that such. I wuold like to learn more about the gods and goddesses. Such as who carries the body after the death. I want to keep my poem as realistic as I can, but with a little originality.

Here is what I have so far:

    KISMET

    Temples line the horizon,
    As mother reaches forward,
    Grasping the spirits looming around,
As she fades from this world.

    Silent strength holds on
    Resisting the urge to leave
All she has come to know,
    Her human life.

    With clouding eyes deep,
She stares me wisely in the eyes
    For the last time,
    And she whispers to me...

    “My daughter, my sunshine,
    My moon and stars,
    Listen to me this once,
    And follow it through.

    “There's a spirit that dwells
    Around our family,
    His name is Kismet,
And he's here to take me away.”

...I know the flow and such aren't too great, so feel free to edit anyone.

    Thanks for the help.

    A FEW THINGS:

    a) Those weird letters and marks are quotes so you know.

    b) Here's more of a story line behind this poem:

This girl's, Leah, mother is finally passing away, and she has an important message to pass down. (Any typical message that Hindu's say would be appreciated, so I have more to work with.) Leah listens attentively to her mother's last words, and slowly watchs her dwindle into the horizon.

    Basically.

I plan to incorporate kismat being a thing and all. it really depends on how long i make it. there are several different ways this can go.

Well, I'll just enjoy myself, and write as I go along. Hopefully there is nothing offending in anyway.
